If Coach O wins the title this year does he surpass Les Miles?

In your opinion? Both would have 1 NC. CLM had two SEC titles though and O has one (granted in a much shorter time). However O would have 1 Heisman winner to his credit.

he has already surpassed les miles and the toss dive king

I’d take O over Miles any day of the week.

I love O. But must we always have a dick measuring contest?

Think you have to let both careers play out.

Undefeated NC surpasses BOTH Miles and Saban IMO.

Who cares? Why can't we just be happy that both will have gotten us a National Championship?

Hell yes. Miles fell arse backwards into his NC. O has changed the game.

He already has passed Les Miles! None of Miles' teams were as close-knit as this bunch. Also, Coach O is easier to understand even with ahis thick cajun accent and gravelly voice than Miles' dumbass ever was!

Title or not O has already surpassed Les in my book.

This would go down as the greatest single season and greatest team in LSU’s history if they go undefeated and win a national title. Orgeron would’ve accomplished something at LSU that neither Miles or Saban could.

Why even ask this? Let's just take it as it comes. Most of us dont care about this low hanging fruit about GOAT bickering.

He’d have to do it again and with his own players.
Miles win with Saban’s players. What’s the difference here?
I’m not a big believer in anointing someone after one great season.

The fact that LSU has won the SEC and another potential NC under 3 consecutive coaches speaks to the strength of THE PROGRAM. 3 years ago the entire nation would have laughed if you told anyone O would be where he is now

Here's a fun fact for you. If LSU wins the NC, Coach O will have an undefeated season equaling Saban who has had only one undefeated season as a HC (2009).

If we win the title this year, coach O is easily among the best LSU HCs ever. I can't say he passes Miles because it is only year 3. Miles also won a title in year 3, though you could definitely say this title would be absolutely more impressive. It would be unquestionably the most successful season in LSU history.
If we win and continue to be in the hunt for SEC and national titles, then O becomes the best and most successful coach we've ever had.
