He will let Etling get the start. But let Brennan get an entire half of football in and let him air it out completely. This way it gives him reps and experience, gives the ball to the WR’s more, and can possibly help recruiting. We need our QB for next year to be as well prepared and ready for next year as possible and it starts this season right now. A promising qb could be the difference of snagging some WR’s and other recruits we desperately need for next season.

I'm impressed how much this team has turned it around but let's see how they finish out.

if Brennan is the heir apparent he should get max playing time from here on out, if he is not, then it is time to have a live fire audition, as we have seen, having a top caliber defense is not enough, we need to develop a qb and have fire power on offense

Start Etling.

Play Brennan a ton.

You don't have to let him "air it out"

Make Brennan run the offense just like Danny. Jet sweeps, screens, etc.

Let him run the exact same offense. I'm sure he does not know the whole gambit. But if he doesn't kbow 20 plays by now, then that is on the coaches.

LSU better get him ready because I don't want him to get on the job training against Miami.

I liked his explanation today. Danny is their guy, but if he's not getting the job done then they'll let Brennan get some snaps. This program still has a lot to play for.

Soooooo....here's a question...

Do you also hold the belief that he should bench Guice and Williams for a half each game to give EH and NB all the carries for the running backs, since they will be the guys next year?

apples to oranges, we generally have a badass defense and just about always reload with tailbacks, werarely have good qb play

I'm skeptical too, but let's give him a season before we jump to conclusions. This team is developing and is not rolling over like some teams have in the past.

A huge test will be the last games of the season; we'll probably be favored in all of them, so let's see how good CEO is at keeping the team focused.

Well, the last run that one of our tailbacks not named Guice or Williams had was a fumble. O doesn't believe in tough, full contact scrimmages like Les used to do every day, so game speed contact is vitally important now more than it was in the past.

QB play hasn't been great. But throw in a dozen fumbles by running backs and we could be in trouble.

No, Danny has put in his time and is a clear leader. You show what your players mean to you, but also show the will to better the future of the program.

Orgeron isn't going to start Brennan for the simple reason that he needs his first season to look good. Going 6-6 or 7-5 would not go over well for him or Alleva.

If O is truly a good coach...he'll keep doing exactly what he's been doing, honestly. And beat these last three shitty teams so hard we get to let Brennan get snaps.

You don't do that to your starting qb unless he gets hurt.

first of all, I don't think the determinant of O's coaching ability is what you say. I think a responsible good coach will do everything possible to win the remaining games on the schedule. it would nice to play Brennen some and O has tried to do that. but to arbitrarily put Brennen in for a pre set time is not the sign of a good coach.

it is dangerous to put Brennen in. he has thrown an interception or simply ate the ball in every appearance this year. he held the ball way too long in the bama game. he completed the short passes and when they dialed up a longer route he just held it way too damn long. now, if we are ahead by 3 or more td's give him some pt and keep him in as long as he advances the ball.
