If Bama loses - they don’t deserve to be in the playoffs.

It’s too early to discuss this narrative, but we need to be ready for it immediately after the game if we beat Bama.

Saban will start his propaganda right after the game and start spewing whatever cherry picked facts happen to support his team at that exact point in time.

The fact of the matter is Bama won’t play anyone other than LSU, and if they go 0-1 against top-notch competition, they don’t belong in the playoffs.

Get ready to throw shite in Saban’s face as soon as this game ends. I’m tired of seeing Bama backfiring their way into an extra bye week and a National title.

Beat us, or stfu.

"Eye test"

This is going to be every year until Saban retires. The propaganda machine will never shut them out.

Strange thing in this case is that it is in the SEC best interest for Bama to lose. This is the only way to get 2 teams in the playoff

To be fair, they will be compared to all the other One Loss teams and will have lost to #4 (then) on the road.

I'm not sure who else has any better argument. In the event that what you suggest is true:

LSU #1
Clemson #2
ND #3

*SEC Champ Game winner gets in. So, UGA could go instead of LSU...but, frick dem

Then it is either:

Michigan or Bama. If Michigan wins out, I'd bet they get the #4 spot. If not, then Bama gets it.

(I'm assuming that Oklahoma would NOT be in ahead of those two with the loss coming to Texas at a neutral spot)

If Bama loses and other teams win out, then they won't be in the playoffs.

If other teams lose out and let them back in, then be mad at those other teams. Bama's only loss would be to a top 5 team on the road. They'd have a compelling case to get in as a #4.

The media is already running with “Tua is practicing this week with a sprained knee” - if they lose they will say they were not healthy and they will back into the playoffs.

Hell, NW is likely to beat ND this weekend

I do not want Bama to make it if they lose to us.

However, if the goal is to pick the 4 best teams at the end of the season, you would have to pick two other teams that you think are better than them to keep them out.

Just like last year and 2011 Bama will finish 2nd in the SEC West, sit their happy arse at home in Tuscaloser during the SEC Championship and still get in the playoffs

We win, you gotta start cheering like hell for Notre Dame to stay undefeated. That's the Bama playoff killer.

Unless it's a blowout in LSU's favor, the Tide will be right back in the top 4 come the first weekend of December.

The bottom line is that, if we win, we need to become big fans of Clemson, Notre Dame, and Michigan because there's no way they let Bama in over: LSU with a heads up win over Bama, undefeated Notre Dame, undefeated Clemson, and 1 loss Big 10 Champion Michigan.

If we lose... Well then we need to become fans of every team those teams play so we can get a sugar bowl appearance.

If any of Michigan, Notre Dame or Clemson lose, I think we're looking at a Bama with a bye week in the CFP. Unless OU comes out and dismantles everyone they play from here on out.

With 1 loss and their brutal schedule they’re going to be in.

Georgia lost by 20points, never led in the game, and never really threatened. They aren't eliminated yet if they won out. Alabama losing by any less than 20pts isn't going to eliminate them either.

When you stack the roster like Saban does, you already have the best team on paper before the year starts. Mulligan

There could easily be a college football revolt if a scenario where Bama goes 11-1, losing their only truly challenging game, and still makes the playoffs.

Let's say LSU wins this week. Then the LSU-UGA winner in ATL is a one-loss SEC champ who gets into the playoff.

Clemson is almost certainly going 13-0. In.

If Notre Dame win this week at Northwestern and then wins at Syracuse (I honestly expect them to lose at least one of those but we'll see), they will go 13-0. In.

Will a one-loss Big Ten champion Michigan or Ohio State be left out? Especially if it's Michigan with their resume'? I doubt it because CFP/ESPN will get crushed.

What about a 12-1 Oklahoma if the Sooners avenge their loss to Texas in the Big 12 title game? Same type of explosive team as Bama with a much tougher schedule.

Now we know the committee/cabal will screw a one-loss PAC-12 champ Wazzu or Utah over Alabama (with a smile). But that's not football royalty so they won't care.

But if they favor Bama with "the eye test" (again) over a more deserving power like Michigan, OSU or OU? It would at least expedite a bigger playoff bracket (6 or 8 teams). Come to think of it, that's exactly what the money people want.
