Stop it. Only way Alabama gets in if they lose is if there are two or more 2-loss conference champions and if ND loses at least one. Y'all forget that both the Pac 12 and B1G each had 2-loss champions last year. Now I do agree that Alabama is probably the only at large team that will ever get that benefit of the doubt. Everybody else has to win their conference until proven otherwise.

What is LSU had beaten Florida, so we're undefeated. We lose to Bama this weekend in a close game. We then win the rest of our games to finish 11-1.

Being honest, in this case LSU wouldn't get into the CFP, because they are not "Bama." That rule of getting into the CFP without winning their division seems to only apply to them, so...

Or would you be intellectually consistent and say we shouldn't be considered for the playoffs because we "didn't even win our own division." Be honest please.

I have never thought a team should play for the national championship if it hasn't won it's conference championship. Saban himself said as much way back in the early 2000's.

Georgia got blown out by us, but they are still in it bc they play a Schedule that makes up for an ugly loss, plus they would be in the SECCG, for a change to beat LSU. If Bama loses, they stay home for the SECCG, and their best win wil be... state? tamu? I mean come on, you gotta beat at Least one top-25 team to make the playoffs right?

i give you credit for your honesty, thanks.

Although Saban's comment you mentioned would've been before the 4-team playoff format, so it holds a little less water. But I understand the theory.
