1; and honestly I'll probably root for them (and the other SEC schools) the rest of the way.
I don't think they're going to become a dynasty like football; the big dog in the conference is still going to be Kentucky. I think football-first schools making runs is a good thing, because it shows the path for LSU.
Kentucky boosters would likely lose their minds

11. I absolutely hate Alabama and Nate Oates. LSU winning a national title in basketball is the one thing I want to see before I die because basketball has always been my favorite sport. Also it’s fun that we can hold our historical tournament success over Bama.

1 They are a football school with a rare basketball season.
I would be a lot more bothered if a basketball school like Kentucky won the CFP. I love basketball, but I wouldn't trade a dozen NCAA titles for what we have accomplished in football the last twenty years.
