Same as in football. 1. Don't give a shite.
I will, however, enjoy the double standard from the media when they hail someone who assisted with a murder.

Alabama has a long history of success in football and their HC is arguably the best in the modern football era. Begrudgingly, they have been very good for a long time. Another NC for them doesn't bother me because soon enough the Saban era will come to an end.
Alabama basketball has only a limited history of success. Yet, they have shown a willingness to invest in the program and go all out (I, personally, love the fact they don't give a shite about the cries of opposing fans and perpetual virtue-signalers in the Brandon Miller "saga"). LSU doesn't. And that was BEFORE the Wade issues arose. LSU would rather be good in Women's basketball, a sport that the nation cares about only slightly more than college baseball, instead of the second biggest college sport in the US.
There is absolutely ZERO reason LSU couldn't be a championship level program in basketball. NONE! Alabama is showing it this season. Florida did it in years past. Neither had much of a basketball history before. It just takes a commitment by the university and finding the right coach. Even if that coach might be a bit "distasteful" to the people who don't matter...the media and everyone who isn't a basketball fan.
With Kentucky trending down (relative to their historic standards) over the last few years, Alabama is rubbing it in the face of the SEC that not only are they a dominant football program, but they are on a trajectory to be the dominant basketball program as well. All while LSU appears happy to to be mired in losing and irrelevancy for at least a few more years...if not longer.

Will only happen if the DA continues to ignore the fact that at least three and probably four players were involved in the murder of a girl.
Star player provided gun at the murder scene

LSU fans need to desire the best in all sports.
I’m sure we all “desire” it. But demanding perfection in everything is asinine. Nothing is perfect all the time

It is basketball. I would go less than 1 on my give a shite. I doubt anyone other than die hards could name more than a player or two on any team.

A 6, and only because they are allowing a murderer to carry them there.

1.
I tend to root for the SEC in the NCAAT anyway, especially when LSU doesn't make it or is already eliminated.

7.
Mostly because I live among Bama fans whose sense of entitlement is starting to bleed over to hoops. Also because of Oats, who is a jackass.
GEAUX TIGERS!

2. Only because I'll likely lose my tournament challenge then

Sure looks like an easy path to the Final Four
