Fields needs more opportunities after this past weekend. Looks like he will get his chance with the injuries we have right now.
Moore needs the PT also. Wouldn't mind seeing both of them start our mid-week games this week.

Anyone have a reason other than this past weekend to want Dozar benched
He is what he is, .260 - .270 type hitter with very little upside.

He's hitting nearly .300 with an almost identical OBP to Ty Ross and greater slugging pct.

Keep Doz at DH...minimum. Dude needs to stay on the field. He'll bounce back after UF. Plus, what no body here gets is that his error in the 9th on Thursday was all part of the gameplan. It threw UF off so badly, that the aurora of the error seeped into the UF base runner on third ...BOOM...no tagging up...we win !
Dozar
Dozar
Oh that and his girlfriend is a legit OT 9.999999

In ~70 ABs, he will level off. And whats the point in comparing him to Ross? I sure as hell don't want him behind the plate.

Just that Ross is considered one of our top 3 or 4 hitters

Eh...maybe. Dozar definitely isn't in that discussion though.

Nola should be batting 2nd with his OBP. Has anybody seen Moneyball. OBP is the most important stat.

What's the story on Fields? He led Northwestern in rushing in 2010 and then goes JC 2011.

So bench rhymes? Edgy but it just may work.
My bad.
Really not thinking long term, just for the next two games.

I think he saw he might have a better future in baseball, so he gave football up and went to JC for a year with the hopes of getting on at a good baseball program or getting drafted high enough to turn pro.

I think Moore and Fields will get some more chances to prove their worth. I also like the idea of spelling Snikeris for Ross if Ross is tired or struggling.
From an article on lsusports..
Small sample size but I like what I see. There is a lineup somewhere in there that opposing pitchers will struggle mightily against.
Maybe:
Jones (2B)
Moore (1B)
Katz (RF)
Rhymes (DH)
Ross (C)
Fields (CF/LF)
Foster (LF/CF)
Hanover (3B)
Nola (SS)
I'm not sure how I would organize the bottom
4. I like a high OBP batting 9 though.

Freshman first baseman Tyler Moore enjoyed an outstanding week at the plate, batting .700 (7-for-10) in three games with one double, three RBI, one run scored and a .727 on-base percentage. Moore collected a career-best four hits in Saturday's series-clinching win over Florida, and he was 3-for-4 with a double and three RBI in LSU's win last Tuesday over Louisiana College. Freshman centerfielder Jared Foster hit .467 (7-for-15) in four games last week with one RBI and five runs scored. Foster batted .400 (4-for-10) in the series victory over Florida with a stolen base and two runs scored.
Senior reserve catcher Jordy Snikeris made two starts last week, batting .714 (5-for-7) with one double, two RBI and two runs

I would only want snick to play first base or DH. Ross has been playing too good this year to take him out. His arm and bat are much better this yr
