By elite, do you mean the one CWS appearance he has in 21 seasons?
By elite recruiter, do you mean how his classes occasionally crack the top 15-20 despite having comparable resources to LSU?

I dont Think there is any argument for Bianco over McDonnell from a purely baseball standpoint.
McDonnell hit all your talking points better than Bianco.

Threads like this make me think that Bianco is a done deal. This isn't smoke screens...they have folks on here trying to warm us up to Bianco. I hope I'm wrong, but that is how this feels.

Okay....
You have one candidate that has been in his current position for less years and has been to the CWS 5 times to Bianco's 1. Prior to this coach taking over, his school had been to a regional 1 time in school history. He's doing this at a school that legitimately has substantially less resources to throw at baseball than LSU does.
You have another candidate that has been at his current school (again, a school with substantially less resources than LSU or Ole Miss) and has been to a super regional 3 out of those 5 years. He's younger and has still proven more successful in the post season that Bianco.
We know what Bianco is. We know what McDonnell is. We know that McDonnell >>>>>>>>>>> Bianco.
We also know that Godwin, at this point in his career, is better than Bianco and has room to grow.

No one would even give Bianco a chance if he had played anywhere but LSU. The one of us bullshite is sickening.
