None of this is “behind the scenes”. Orgeron publicly admitted to meddling with the offense and said he gave Canada control following the Troy game. Following the tamu game, he never once made any attempt to cover up his desire for Canada to leave.

This isn’t some big secret. Orgeron failed at Ole Miss. Statistically, he had one of the WORST HEAD COACHING STINTS IN SEC HISTORY. When he got the LSU job he stated on the record that part of his problem was micromanaging his coordinators. A mere two months ago, he again publicly admitted to micromanaging his offensive coordinator, which led to one of the worst losses in LSU history.

This has been a disaster for a long time.

Yes as position coaches. I guess you don't understand the difference.

This disaster as you speak of is about to very possibly land us in the top 10 for the first time since 2011. Lol. Life is short. It is just a game. Jesus.

What's funny is both sides are right. Coach O isn't much of a coach and yes it is embarrassing he ended up being the conclusion of 'the search'. I think the idea of Canada was a pretty easy sell to O and to all of us. After all, he beat the team that beat Bama so hey we got the best. The problem is Canada has a problem maintaining a coaching job anywhere long term.

Both are right. O doesn't know what he's doing much and Canada must be an abrasive douche.

hat’s there to know? His 10 win total over three years is embarrassing and he’s publicly stated his biggest fault was micromanaging his assistants.

Our fans, oddly enough, love to act like they were in the know about every phase of the ole miss program while O was at Ole Miss, much like they like to act like they know what’s going on inside our own program. It’s just funny to me how many have such inside information about a shitty program...the funny part is I know how dumbasses think and generally they just go by what they hear others saying and run with it. I’m guessing some of these dumbasses were too young to have even been watching cfb when O was at Ole Miss.

What do you know that leads you to believe he mismanaged assistants at LSU?

Amazing if O knew what he was doing. Hell, we may finish top 10 and he doesn't have a clue. Just think if he knew football. We may be on an NFL level.

I would guess that more than 50% are too young to know anything about ole miss. Doesn't stop them. They know it all.

The fact that Orgeron publicly admitted to telling Canada how to run the offense prior to the Troy loss.

I’m not spouting off conspiracy theories. These are things Orgeron has admitted to. LSU lost to a Sun Belt team at home after getting shut out in the first half. Orgeron admitted he told Canada to stop the shifting and motions in that game.

He is the GD head coach you stupid mf. I wasn't pleased with the offense either the first few games. You dumbasses act like Canada was some superstar oc. It is comical.

So if LSU wins, you’ll feel vindicated. No one is saying the team didn’t improve.

The problem is that LSU is about to cut a guy a check for $3 mil to not coach after being hand picked by Orgeron.

If that’s not bad enough, Orgeron doesn’t even have the finesse to tell the media that everything is fine between he and Canada. A head coach has to know how to deal with the media and Orgeron simply does not.

Well, he was the only offensive coach that was a finalist for the Broyles Award last year, so.....

He is the head coach. And his decision to have a say in the offense led to the worst LSU loss in nearly two decades.

Why do people say this?

We know he's the coach. But that title does not confer the qualifications to overrule a career OC. It confers the authority, that's all.

Yes, in most cases the person given the authority is usually qualified. Not in our case though.

He's got the Head job though and with that says that he can take the team in which ever direction he wishes.

If he doesn't agree with what his assistants are doing, he can change course, including with Aranda. What needs to stop is our fans blindly mistrusting him for every tough decision, when most of his decisions have been positive for LSU. Not every decision will end up a golden one but what's important is that they respond positively.

What needs to stop is out own fans calling him stupid, ignorant, dumb, horrible leader, and so on. This shite gets out to the public and media runs with it, knowing many people will read these type of articles, bc of this mindset. Wanna know why Bama papers sell 99% positive papers? Because their fans are behind that staff 110% and they will burn anything that resembles a negetive article. This is how LSU fans need and should be and its a sin that most aren't. It's really sad how we eat our own so viciously.

I see an opportunity for a coup, one that even Alleva could get in on behind O's back to save his own arse [could even take credit for it when it proves successful]. Matt Canada and Dave Aranda could potentially collude on the prospect that Canada remains as OC if Aranda is promoted to HC. Even if O found out, what is he going to do, fire Aranda too? It would be a death sentence not only for Ed, but also Alleva. Such a move would force Alleva's hand if the public could get behind it, which is already taking place. We all know Aranda wants the job and probably hates working for a muppet.

The media backlash for this move would be minimal. I'm sure they would understand: it's just business.
