Personally I think Elko vs Lane will be CFBs new elite coaching matchup as we move forward (assuming lane sticks around for that to happen )

They all remember the last time they went to Death Valley and faced a pissed off LSU (2019)

What is amazing to me is right now we have more money than they do. I never thought that possible.

I definitely don’t need a confirmation from an Aggie fan regarding the quality of a coaching hire.

Maybe a Bama or Georgia fan I’d give more credence to.

I like the way Elko coaches honestly he is a just a football dude, I have hated the last two years but we know that was BK.

Lane I believe hasn't lost to Elko, and he knows what it will mean for us

The team we fielded Saturday was the most oiled opening day LSU team we've seen in a long long time. We will obviously know a lot more in 2 to 3 weeks.

Defense looked phenomenal. Team speed is great. But I was most impressed with differences in the running game, and associated line play.

Perhaps that was a matter of the opponent? But I have my doubts. We made Clemson look like a division 2 school. As bad as they might be, they aren't that bad.

Say what you want, but last year Dabo correctly assessed both teams as having played poorly. This year, he said LSU might very well be the best team in the country.

I know a couple of Aggie fans and also Longhorn fans and they are the most condescending and arrogant people I have ever met. The funny thing is that they're born and raised in the swamps of Louisiana, cajun surnames and everything. They have ZERO affiliation with Texas anything. They didn't go there. They don't live there. Their kids didn't go there. NOTHING. It's wierd as hell.

I always keep it cordial and never really shite talk and disrespect their teams because I'm not really friends with them like that. Just acquaintances. I'm usually at their house from a mutual friend. So, I don't go full STTDB. Plus, we ain't had much to brag about lately. I just wear my gear with pride and take it in stride.

But they're constantly just spewing pure hatred for LSU. They're like possessed demons when the name of LSU is dared to be even uttered. I just smile and laugh.

Same, it’s hard to dislike the guy. A&M made a great hire because you know they’re always going to have a good defense.
I think their offense takes a step back this year, it seems like they’re going to lean heavily on Reed’s scrambling ability. Blake Baker hasn’t forgotten last season and will have us ready for him.
