My point is we were already a little thin.

Our RB depth has shrunk every year that Kelly has been here, and none of them have been drafted.

Ed O (no hate here) left the cupboard empty and us "logical" ones knew it would take years to get it back.

RB Wise :

Lindsey is off the team, suspended indefinitely.

They really don’t play Berry or Jackson .
Maybe 2-3 plays per game.

They only play 2 RBs

Dang Man, wait until we play/beat a team with a Pulse.
How many games have our first three opponents won?

The problem with firing a position coach ,Davis, in the portal era is players leaving the team because of it.LSU has finially got the numbers up and that could put them back where they were.I agree something needs to be done, maybe bring in another OL advisor and give him more say.

This is what I am mostly referring to.

I know it's not perfect, but it's tremendously better across the board

Not that long ago we had a running back playing QB on the bowl game

We grabbed the no.1 rb in the country out of HS in Bery and another top 200 kid in Lindsey ( gotta see how his case plays out though ). We are def no lacking when it comes to bringing in good players at the position

Regardless of high school rankings…feels like we ain’t hit on a RB in years… Holly would have been good I think

Does he have bad losses and do his teams at times underperform in big games ? Sure but he can get a program up to speed and running with enough time. It looks like he has LSU running smoothly now.

So if a program has “bad losses”, and tends to “underperform in big games” ….. how can it be “up to speed” and “running”?

I agree with everything but this. We are very thin at running back. Using a QB/DB in Juwan Johnson. Talk about a team player by the way.

Oh jee-ZUZ! This shite again? How long until you “logical” ones hold the CURRENT coach responsible for the team’s performance?

Team’s not great? “Aww. It’s the last coach’s fault!”

That’s stupid.

I was referencing how deep 2 and 3 deep needed years to be rebuilt Did you actually see that bow game a few years ago before BK actually coached the team that we started a WR at QB in a bowl game?. Yeah that team has no depth as the reserves were starters.

Yep. It's because people confuse athleticism with football ability. Simply having speed or wiggle does not make one an all-star. It takes time and experience for some guys to grasp the intricacies of the game.

Jujuan is going to get better and better with reps. He was an offensive stud in HS and brings a different skill set to the position and Berry is going to be a good one also. Durham can still bounce back but will need to get healthy. And Jackson is serviceable.

Before kelly got to Cincinnati they were awful...he turned them into a program with 1loss and undefeated regular seasons.(Kelly got them their 2nd 10 win season in school history, he had a 10,11,and 12 win season there).

Before kelly got to ND they were 16-21 in their last 3 years.... by year 3 he had ND 12-1

Before kelly came to LSU we were having. 500 and losing seasons with the worst lsu roster since dinardo.... he wins the west and has 9 and 10 win seasons.

He can ,without question, turn around a program.

Durhan, Johnson, Jackson, and Berry I would say that is a pretty good RB room. What team are you watching?

Be careful you will face the wrath of the IAABC (I Am A Better Coach) mob. Notice they are giving Slian a break this weekend but now are on Davis. Who's next? BK?

They have definitely got this team back in terms of depth and talent. It feels like we are 2 deep at most positions finally without much talent drop off
He has a band of midgets playing WR. If anything BK has done a horrible job constructing this team.
