PM gets credit for those mid season adjustments that seem brilliant, but for every Austin Nola at SS in 09 we have countless dumb fricking calls like Bouman, Etc.

No one expected 3 out of 4 guys from the pen can't throw a fricking strike.

Because I thought the game management (taking Bouman out so early). That decision has lost this regional. Don't think he deserves criticism?

You probably also think Les is a bad coach too, right?

And JJ is terrible too?

I am so glad you were born in the late 90's. You young people have no idea what bad coaching is and losing is

Don't criticize our coach. You will get called every damn name in the book. I know Maneri has forgot more about baseball than I will ever know. But, baseball ain't rocket science fellas.

He totally screwed up the game last night. Plain and simple.

We can't run bases. This is the coaches fault. We are totally undisciplined on the base paths. Aggressive. No. Stupid - Yes. Stevenson's blunder wasn't an aberration. This is how this moron's run the bases.

We may even come back and win this stupid game. Trust me. UoH are no world beaters.

Well it seems to me that tonights game is all on Dunn.
I mean none of our pitchers can throw strikes.
We HAVE to blame someone, right.
It must be a coach, never a player.
Fire Dunn?????

They won 47 games, have an RPI of 2, SOS of 15, beat Rice, TTU, A&M, Louisville, LSU, Rice again...

Yeah, they are poo poo

Tonight our young pitchers looked eerily similar to our coach in the dugout last night.

I'll say this. Houston has the same chance to do damage in Omaha that LSU would have had.

And it really is a shame that Mainieri sabotaged a great coaching job this year that no one will remember due to his completely inept handling of the end of last night's game.

Honest question, can you name one starter on UH. You and I both know the answer is no. Houston is a good team. Every 2 seed is a pretty good team.

Agreed. I was really surprised by Maineri's body language. It was rather pathetic and you have to wonder if the team came in playing scared or at least defensive as opposed to aggressive

I don't think I've ever seen CPM look as uncomfortable as he did last night in extras. He knew he made a bad decision. The bad thing is he still looks exactly the same tonight.

No I can't. My point exactly. There are 16 regionals. No one from UoH will play any real time in the Majors. So. No. I can't name any of their over achieving, well coached players. Hats off to them. They beat the hell out of us and never gave up.

I've seen some really good baseball teams over the years. This ain't one of them. Are they clearly better than us? Yes. But, we ain't exactly a team to be remembered for the ages.

UH has plenty of good players. They were the highest 2 seed in the NCAA tourney. They weren't an easy matchup at all.

This Houston team is really good IMO. They are scrappy as hell and put a ton of pressure on opposing pitchers because of their approach at the plate.

I didn't think this LSU team had a shot at the CWS earlier this year, but they got hot at the right time and that's all it takes. That run came to a screeching halt last night though.

ETA: Now the kid that's up around 140 pitches in 3 days is shutting them down. It just doesn't look like they have any fight left.

But does anyone think Broussard gives up four runs in two innings??

Yeah what bothers me is he left Broussard in for 3 innings after lead was blown. Bring Broussard in the 8th to advance, but it is what it is. PM is still great and even great coaches make mistakes.
