I wanted Baker back to help with continuity…

Lane Kiffin 1st year and having to rebuild, we all hoped at least 1 side of the ball could have some continuity and carry this team. However, his defense hasnt looked good against anyone with a pulse. It’s not even them getting straight up beat, it’s the continuous out of position players, head-scratching play-calls, and lack of development.
Why is it that after Weeks, no other LB has flourished under Baker as DC? Dottery is portal and then you have a bunch of nobodies or hybrid like Singleton and Jimcoily who have no position. Recruiting is lackadaisical. We have all been saying Davhon isnt ready yet… he’s a junior, when will he be ready?? He should have been ready last season…
Im ready to move on, sure hope Lane makes a great hire there. Hopefully this talk about him hiring his brother is untrue as well, because Chris is just a journeyman and has been DC only once at FAU.

Continuity off a 7-6 team usually isn't the best way to go.

Baker should have gone to Tulane. We all thought that Baker was hamstrung by Kelly, but that's just not the case. Convoluted schemes that nobody understands especially the players

It isnt, but other than that embarassing Texas A&M performance, LSU losses were pretty much all 1 TD or so difference (Bama 11). We thought Baker can at least hold it down enough to where our offense can ease some pressure. Offense is taking bit longer to develop and seems like this defense is regressing. Granted, Weeks, Spears, Anding are out.

Frustrating because Kentucky, with a first-year coach is 5-1 as a basketball school with its coach and team costing a fraction of what LSU, a football school, is paying for its first-year coach and players, not to mention the overpriced defensive coordinator.

If you wanted continuity you keep BK. I don’t like bringing in new coaches and you keep a coordinator. Hopefully this is a learning experience.

The worst part of it is, I don’t know how the hell you fix it. He just signed a pretty big contract, so you can’t fire him. Then what? You hire someone to come in to be a co-coordinator? I just don’t feel like there’s a good answer until he’s gone. But how the hell does that happen after this season? Nobody wants him as a head coach.
