We pay Ed 9 million a year and y’all think the buyout is a problem?

You should never trust your gut feeling on anything ever again

I wouldn't have posted it if I didn't.

Feel free to offer your evidence that undoubtedly proves it false.

I want him gone just as badly as all the other trolls in this thread. The Rant is just uncontrollably triggered at all times. It's expected when you offer any doubt of any situation.

17 million easier to pay than 9mil. Interesting take....

Just so you know. We are most likely going to pay the next coach the same or close to it. What a coach gets paid on a yearly basis means nothing if he is winning.

Do you not believe the reports that the buyout money has already been put together? You do know we pay Ed 9 million a year. The second highest paid head coach in the country. You really think the buyout will be a problem? You know eds buyout is very small compared to most if not all top 10 coaches, right?

It’s that way by design. Just relax…

If it was such a problem, why did they fire him?

It took many years before they could.

Les had a buyout of 6.5mil when he was fired. Significantly less than 17mil. As i said in the op maybe that 17 can be wiped away for cause but it hasnt yet and no one here can undoubtedly say it will be. Time will tell. I hope woody moves a lot sooner than later.

If the buyout is the reason we can’t fire O then Woodward job should be on the line for giving him that raise

I say your gut will change your mind after you see the product on the field tomorrow and nobody in the stands.

I don’t remember a collective “let’s fire miles” until 2015. And not even then really. And do you have proof that the buyout was a problem? Or are you just pulling nonsense out of your arse?

but an easy sell for O to say he wasn't even given a chance to right the ship.

I have never understood this argument when the guy wanting a chance to right the ship is the one that wrecked in the first place. Especially our issues with the OL. This is the one I can't get past. This is a thing where they swung and missed with a recruit here and there or even one recruiting year. No this is a multi year issue over several different OL coaches.

I believe him and O to be friends, and have a more meaningful relationship than the public is led to believe. Regardless of what you think of O as a coach, he is an extremely likeable guy.

Why do you believe that Woody and O are friends? If would appear that you believe Woody should give him a pass based upon this supposed friendship.

Miles was a likeable guy also. Mike Archer was very likeable and his players loved him to death. Didn't mean he was ready for the LSU job.

How about you offer some real evidence on why you’re right.

Because to me all this looks like is some misguided opinions.
