re: I understand why, but it’s funny to see so many hate on Tennessee so bad

Does the name Ed Orgeron mean anything to you?
Ed O was trashy on his own time. On the field he never really did much. I know you will mention the Bama post game speech in 2019 or the AUburn post game speech in 2018 but both of those were supposed to be behind closed doors. Vitello fights umps in the first inning.

I think that they are great for the sport. At the end of the day, college baseball is considerably behind college football and college basketball. Having a team like Tennessee and Tony Vitello is good for the sport. It draws attention and interest.

It’s a tough reality to accept. But Tennessee is going to be around for a while.
They will drop off a cliff after Vitello leaves Tennessee to follow Van Horn.

Lol. I can assure you tons of other fans across the country though we were trashy fans when we were dominating football in our heyday. Just because we were on the winning side if it doesn’t mean people all thought we were classy.
Posters like you probably stay home and never attend any baseball events. Omaha has literally turned their locals into lsu fans in the 90’s and still today? Why because we weren’t trashy Tenn fans. Everyone loves lsu baseball especially the home of the college baseball World Series

Locals are fans of LSU because we travel extremely well every time we go there. We are well represented and spend a lot of money in their town. We also aren't competing against Nebraska, so we don't have any reason to hate each other.

Yeah I'm sure Florida and Vanderbilt fans really love LSU baseball.

Win something then crow. They’ve been irrelevant for 30 years. Cups tshirts aside they’ve done dick. Win something

Vitello didn't fit the mold of Woodward hires, but I don't know if Vitello is eyeing this job as much as the Arkansas job.
Would he consider going to Mizzou where he played baseball?

fans are so cocky and talking shite when they haven’t accomplished anything.
Neither has lsu recently and everyone acts like we still deserve everything because of our past success. They have been rolling this season m. They deserve to be cocky.

With what he's building at Tennessee, and the buy in he has from the administration and the boosters there, the already short list of jobs he would leave for has pretty much disappeared. He doesn't need to go anywhere at this point.

Mack Rhodes (current Baylor AD) could have hired him at Mizzou. He was going to bring in Jayce Tingler and Matt Hobbs as his assistants and had a multimillion dollar donations lined up from former Mizzou players. Rhodes hired Beiser instead and jumped to Baylor shortly after.

How long do we get to live off of our success in the 90s as lsu? Cause you can make a solid argument that we’ve done jack shite lately.

You seem to really love you some Tennessee baseball and hate LSU. You sure you are on the right board?

Just don’t like the constant hypocrisy from our fan base.

First of all, I don't "hate" them. I don't hate anyone. But my dislike for them, and the dislike that most have for them, should not be hard to understand.
Our program won 5 titles in a 10 year span, and I never saw them act like Tennessee does, and the Vols haven't done anything close to that. There is a difference between "swagger" and going around acting like you're the greatest thing the world has ever known, and going out of your way to be as classless as you can be. Even if they had won 5 titles in 10 years, or anything like that, I don't believe in this idea that success entitles you to behave poorly.
People wonder why there are so many awful attitudes in the world these days. It's because people are allowing this kind of crap to go on, and even celebrating it as "self expression".

So pretty much what any coach does from little league to the pros? Welcome to baseball.
Lmfao no that doesn’t happen. It’s a pretty well known rule you don’t touch an ump. Guy has the temperament of a 16 year old taking steroids. You are so off base with everything you’ve posted in this thread that it’s unbelievable someone actually thinks like this.

You'll be shocked to hear this but everyone else doesn't have to change their behavior to cater to your kids. I have 2 kids and I brought them to a football game last year and before we went in, I told them they would hear a lot of bad words and they were not to repeat them.

Lol. I posted the horrific bump video a few posts above. Absolutely laughable that people are freaking out about that.
All coaches get heated and yell and refs and umps all the time. Everyone’s just mad because it’s Tennessee and they are good.
The announcer even said it looks like the ump used to work for WWE because he flailed after that “bump”

Or until Tony Vitello takes his talents to the MLB. He's a St. Louis guy. Just speculation I think he will not be a CBB lifer.

Their fans bring it on themselves, just like ours do when others hate on us.
