If he’s trying to secure his legacy as the GOAT AD, he’s got to take advantage of this opportunity to bring in another whale to LSU athletics.

They've got to do something with OU and Texas entering the SEC. This program is facing a relevance problem coming down the tracks.

I'd be surprised if he doesn't give her an ultimatum. You either make wholesale changes or take a hike.

Given her unrelenting loyalty I have no idea how she'd respond. Gut says she makes fricking bank at LSU, and her extended family isn't worth losing generational wealth over.

On the other hand I'm in awe at how stubborn she's been choosing mediocrity over doing what's best for the school that has lined her pockets.

It would be unlike him to put up with mediocrity for too long. Ask Coach O.

I don't think he pulls the plug. I do think conversations will be had, if they haven't already.

The sad thing is that I think apathy has set in in the fanbase. I was there for both games today and that was by far the worst attended Saturday/Sunday in a regional that I've ever been to here. The park probably wasn't half full. Honestly there weren't as many Cajun fans as I thought would be there either. I think both fanbases are tired of this matchup in the regionals all the damned time.

But back to the point...there was a time where we packed the place for regionals. I never sensed any local excitement about this one, even though we were a #10 national seed.

A 42-17 record is nothing to sneeze at. It was a much better regular season than the last 2. But between today and the super regional game 2 years ago vs Florida State that ended the season, they have just had bad shite happen to them. Today's 7th inning debacle is hard to swallow.

I think changes will be made. She might get another year if she shakes up staff.

What’s her contract look like?

You almost have to bring in a stud coach, with the Oklahoma juggernaut coming in, we don’t need an OU reign of titles. LSU needs to be able to compete with them. They are the gold standard. Just like South Carolina WAS in woman’s hoops, haha.

I quit watching on a semi-regular basis 3-4 years ago. we are remarkably predictable as a school knowing we are decent across the board with nothing elite and distinct.

Why would any fool think the next recruiting class is the answer? we have gotten our pick of the litter for years now and you're supposed to believe they're all busts? What?

Just give the job to CKM and hire a figurehead to keep the lights on until basketball season is over.

I think conversations are had about staff changes, she has some very good talent coming in the next 2 classes, especially Heavenger, the lefty pitcher from Fl in 25 and Mckee the infielder in 24, she probably is mandated to make staff changes and offensive philosophy has to change a lil

Yeah this regional had a different feel than previous ones. I’ll always watch and support the ladies but that same excitement and anticipation wasn’t very strong compared to previous regionals. I get the sense a large chunk of the LSU base has gotten exhausted watching the same issues over and over. People will watch on TV, you’ll see less people taking the time to travel and spend money on attending games.

Sad to see to be honest. It was disappointingly light of a crowd for two programs who live right next to each other. Like I said, I think everyone is tired of these same draws year after year.

All you have to do is watch five minutes and see we are the same we’ve been for the last 6 years.

Average across the board.

What’s so infuriating about Beth Torina is that her pettiness to do what’s best for our university is straight up betrayal. No one gives a shite about your extended family. You make more than 99% of the country and that comes with doing your employer a proper service and it’s quite clear she doesn’t give a shite about the people who keep the lights on

I go occasionally to the games. My problem is sitting on the berm when many seats closer in are empty. Who buys those seats and rarely comes to the games?

Scott’s legacy will in no way be impacted by any on field results of the softball program. The only determination will be football, baseball, and basketball

I think her loyalty to her extended family will cost her job this year
