I think we got to move Evans back to closer.

I don't see another solution unless Cowan does a 180 turn next outing.
I still think Cowan could go back to having success as a middle reliever. But he obviously is letting nerves get him and doesn't have it as closer right now.

Why? Because an adult at LSU getting PAID to play baseball has been fricking trash the last 3 games? These aren't kids anymore and NIL shows they aren't student athletes either. They are pro-am players and absolutely deserve the criticism. go suck a dick

No he is not. He has to be brought in after a lefty or like in Ark game he came in after Anderson and shores but shores only threw 1 inning. Cowan fast ball tops out at 91 after Shores and Noot all game it looks like a slow pitch softball to SEC Hitters.

Tonight was 100% a test to see if they could pitch off in the regional and get away with it, which is something Jay really doesn’t like to do.

Baseball is a crazy game sometimes.
As soon as the bullpen (minus Cowan and Evans) starts showing signs of coming around, Cowan goes from being the most reliable to struggling to get outs and getting hit very hard.
Cowan needs to pitch off his fastball and he HAS to be wiling to throw it inside. Players are sitting on the changeup and know that fastball is going to be thrown outside and probably off the plate.

Exactly. It’s nice to have a chance of pace, but that’s a one or two batter guy. Not your closer.
