They act like everything is the compliance departments fault just because some half arse radio host got on a rant this morning.
That’s hilarious
Jordy is as well informed as anyone in BR media. He was being kind this morning.

Just think for a minute here, we have policies in place that put us at a competitive disadvantage to some of our main competition.

The compliance department has been holding back Lsu football since mikes got here. Our recruiting rules are stricter than the NCAAs and all other schools in the NCAA.
We all know who was actually leading the suspension of wade. Aleva just didn’t have the backbone to put them in their place

Drug testing the entire basketball team after a huge win
Self reporting the softball team for a team photo going long
Watching tape of practices for violations (recruits hanging around)
And not necessarily related to the above...

All of the violations were reported by the school this fall and obtained by The Advocate through a public records request. They are secondary in nature and carry no real penalty. Schools report dozens of secondary violations each year. LSU uses the violations as a way to educate players and coaches.

It was the truth then and is still now. More people are just starting to find out about it. When I originally posted it not as many people knew about it. So I understand why admin decided to whack it, but it's 100% true.

Screw our overbearing compliance department. No other school in the SEC has to deal with the douchebags that LSU has to involving compliance.
I'm glad you brought them up. Maybe we go after them next.

Dont try talk sense into a bunch of paranoid, self hating bums.
They dont understand common sense.

Russell Shepherd missed the first 5 game of his senior year for staying at his girlfriends house during the summer.
LSUs compliance department is out of control and they need to be reigned in or released.

Lol. I am not employed by lsu or any sort of compliance dept in a different industry.

The compliance department should be HELPING the coaches find ways to “bend the rules”.
Our compliance department is more like that annoying kid in school that if anyone did anything wrong would go “ooooohhh, I’m telling” and run and tattle to the teacher.

Talking about compliance turning in the football program to the SEC when a backup QB picked up and put on a head set during the BYU game a few years back going over the 9 headsets allowed to be worn by coaches.

We kicked Tyrann Mathieu off the team for smoking weed.

So LSU should have allowed him to play, only to risk having to give up those wins either during the season?

Do you have an example of a school being stripped of wins over a similar situation?

Not that I would know off hand, nor am I going to take the time to look it up. Not that important to me.
I'm amused by this, honestly.
And now I'm at the point where I will likely just troll respond to some of it as I know reality would not sit well with many fans.
Considering the politics of the SEC/NCAA, what LSU Compliance is doing is necessary.
After what the media just tried to do with our basketball program (politics - Still Dickie V threads among other media idiots going), it certainly appears the Rant has no clue and didn't learn a thing.
This is a subject that has a HUGE gray area and our CD operates in that area. As I said, they DO go overboard in some cases, but it is necessary considering the scrutiny.

How do these things put LSU at a disadvantage compared to other schools?
