Good for him. Hes gotten a really bad rap. He was a bust but no worse than guys like Matt Leinart or Ryan Leaf yet somehow those guys got extra shots.
Yeah but you have to realize in that same draft these players were selected.

Calvin Johnson- Best WR in the league

Adrian Peterson- Best RB in the league (before his knee was snapped)

Joe Thomas- Best OLineman in the league (or at least tie with Jake Long)

Darrelle Revis- Best CB/DB in the league

Patrick Willis- Best LBer in the league (Ware is a DE)

Not to mention the 20 other pro bowlers that went in that draft.

Russell will go down as the guy with the most weapons and the least desire.

Holy frick. Then you also have LaRon in that draft. Is 2007's draft class the best ever? I never even realized.

ETA: AND Pierre Thomas went un drafted this year. My goodness.

+1

I can understand dissapointment, but I could never wrap my mind around all the hate from LSU fans towards him. JR never hurt anyone worse than he did himself.

RUSSELL HAS BEEN AN AVID SUPPORTER OF BOOSIE

Why exactly? Boosie is a criminal and deserves to be in jail.

LSU fans (aka The Rant) just got pissy when he was first drafted and wore a Bama Boi chain instead of reppin LSU, then seem to think that his actions as a NFL bust somehow hurt LSU. The Rant is never a dull moment.

The Sports Illustrated article also said that JaMarcus plans on working out at LSU this offseason for some NFL tryouts. Can't be any worse than RP on some teams practice squad.

And where pray tell did you hear that? Link? Bank statement?

I heard from a friend that there was a forclosure notice for his house in Mobile in the paper a few weeks ago. Maybe he just forgot to pay.
