Tate has only been president since mid 2021. He didn't have enough influence to affect any of the major coaching hires. I expect that will change if/when LSU has to make a major hire.

Tate has had zero to do with the champions this year other than getting out of the way. The jury is still out on much social justice bullshite he will try to implement at LSU. I judge him on that.

So we're supposed to give him kudos for doing what he should do. I mean, I guess so.

When this board and many around the state had a weeks (months?) long meltdown about how he would surely ruin the university and the athletic department?

Yea. Kudos to him.

What’s he done that’s a detriment to the university? Specifically!

Not necessarily. But a lot of people prejudged his actions for he even took the job and those preconceived notions appear to have been wrong.

I'm sure all of us have prejudged a person before getting to know them...only to find out they are a good person. I think that is the case for some here. They rejected Tate before he ever took the job based upon preconceived notions that have proven to be untrue

I’ll eat crow. He’s been fantastic. So much better than I could’ve ever imagined.

Became a Tate fan when he told all the Covidians in his faculty to show up to work or be fired.

You are putting of serious racist vibes because you are criticizing without detailing specific criticisms

Do you even know what his “main “ job is? You don’t strike me that has a clue about higher education
