I didn’t get to watch it until Sunday but had read plenty of things about it. It wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. Seems like mostly some costly mistakes that can be fixed hopefully. Otherwise it was a bad tuneup game against a team that wasn’t bad and more in sync given they had played a game already.

I am not saying you have to like it, but it's been way worse multiple times and the rebuild is NEVER a pleasant process

When I read a post like the one you typed to start this thread, three words come to mind.

Go frick yourself.

That's inexcusable for a coach being paid as much as Kelly. Wins will be tough enough to come by. We can't afford to lose games we shouldn't.

The amount he’s being paid is irrelevant

This roster is not to the point where fans should expect there to be no negative outcomes

We are in rebuild mode. Bk will get this ship headed in the right direction.

Evidently we didn’t have full Alignment if what JD said after the game is true. Sometimes these players need a slap in face like they got Sunday to get back in Alignment. Sucks it had to happen in the first game against those losers from FSU but if they play like the fourth quarter the rest of the year then I’d be happy. Minus the shitty XP blocking of course. I would bet BK isn’t making this a very fun week of practice and hopefully they get the message.

Every program is constantly in rebuilding mode this day and age. We showed up and looked pretty terrible in many facets of the game.

Two things can be true at once. The problem with this place is that it’s an either/or wasteland of polarization.

- We either suck or we don’t. Wrong. We suck in some areas, and we don’t in others. The truth is, we’re both. We both suck, and we don’t suck at the same time. Hopefully there will be less suck as the year goes on.

- Our Coaches are either awesome or terrible. No! Our Coaches are doing some great things that haven’t been done in a while, but they might not show up in wins for a little while. It takes a minute for culture change to take hold. Things often get worse before they get better. It’s both/and, not either/or.

Reasonable people understand that this kind of turnaround takes time, and the real test is measured by progress. We’ll know much more about our Coaches in years 2 and 3 than we know right now. Knee jerking right now is dumb. Do everyone a favor and give this Coach and this team a year to adjust. It’ll save you a lot of frustration.

We should win the next 4 games, that will draw most people back in.

This one did sting for a good full day. I'd being doing okay on Monday and then my mind would drift to it and I'd be in a bad mood. But it's out of the system now and I'm still excited about the future of this team.

I like that this season is going to reset expectations. It'll make the wins more enjoyable especially the bigger they get. If you think this is going to end badly, just look at the recruiting.

Help is on the way, folks.

WEEK 1. ONE. In a new system with a new coach. There was confusion, frustration, but I did not see an overall lack of hustle. Maybe just stop looking for reasons to whine about it. Or clean the sand out. Whichever.

I love how this is always the alternative--It's never anything else. No one ever says take up miniature wargaming or binge listen Wagner's operas.

Watching this game made me wonder what it would be like if CBK had hired Les as his OC, Ed as his DC, and Mickey Mouse as his SP Teams Coordinator.
