Is my 7-5 prediction negative, positive or realistic Tiger?

I still think they can get to 7-5. I said going into the game if I have one concern, it's mistakes.

LSU committed a lot of mistakes. The good news is most of them are fixable, especially on special teams.

Blocking assignments by the OL and RBs is a little more difficult to fix but fixable.

Tackling is also fixable but is only fixable during game time situations. We have got to tackle better.

Fixing these issues and making a lot less mistakes going forward I still believe 7-5 is attainable.

We played a quality opponent without a game under our belt. Not having that warm up game really hurts.

That said, we were not so much 'expecting' but were all 'hoping' to be 'elite'. Back to reality I guess.

Personally, I think we'll be fine. We'll surprise a team or two this year and that will be fun.

These close losses will become wins very soon. Coach needs complete buy-in and commitment from this team. Leaders need to step up.

You need to understand, this is not a complete team. Most of the transfers are a band aid. You don't trade a top 100 secondary for a top 1000 and not miss a lick. Same with OL.

The players “think” they are good due to inflated egos. Unfortunately, they are unable to back it up.
Imagine pondering how we can even win 3 SEC games to go 6 - 6 after hiring the $100 million man given unlimited resources. That is how low this program is right now.

BUT BUT MUH 39 PLAYERS!!! It’s the exact same team as last year idiot!

These things take 7 seasons for a guy like Kelly to get everyone “aligned” DO YOU EVEN KNOW FOOTBALL?!?!?

But but Muh no week 0 game!!!! You don’t know crap about aligning obviously! You hate LSU and are an idiot I’m embarrassed!!!! (Not by our performance but by some LSU message board posters!!!!)

We will be alright bro. A whole lot of frickery and still only lost by 1 point to (according to FSU media and fans) is their best team since 2014.

I'm sure you'll be good to play this week. I really feel bad for you guys...I mean, you did play hard in the second half. As coach says, you all battled!
So shake it off young Tiger...I'm sure you'll do better this week.

I actually felt better after watching it the next day. It felt pretty awful real time. I’m not a sunshine pumper, but I am an optimist. It’s too soon to deem this coaching staff or this team a failure. Had they not had the long drive at the end, I would feel much different.

Jesus

Being a “realistic-Tiger” is knowing there were 39 scholarship players during the bowl game, LSU had a WR playing QB, that the roster was so badly managed after 2019 that it was astronomically worse than when Saban took over. We also realize the rebuild isn’t remote close to being finished in first 8 months.

That's inexcusable for a coach being paid as much as Kelly. Wins will be tough enough to come by. We can't afford to lose games we shouldn't.
