Personally I dislike the white helmets.

The traditional white jersey and gold pants are the best uniform in all of college football. We should always wear this uniform. Always and forever. And by we, I mean we.

After substantial testing at the sports science laboratory at Juilliard University it was proven that purple jerseys make our players look slow.

You can’t argue with science.

2015 vs South Carolina.

Similar to the ASU game in 2005, was that actually a home game for LSU since it had to be relocated to BR because of the flooding or was it still technically a USC home game played in Baton Rouge?

It was played in Death Valley so it was for all intents and purposes an LSU home game, just like ASU was a home game for the Sun Devils.

I get that you're saying "for all intents and purposes" but that really doesnt apply. Had it been a home game, LSU would have wore white.

A stipulation of the new rule was that the visiting team would have to give the home team permission to wear the white jerseys. The first team to deny LSU's request was DiNardo's former team, Vanderbilt. Instead of going back to purple jerseys, the Tigers took the field in new gold jerseys.

That is interesting, did not know that

It was also a springboard to this jersey debacle.

In 1997, LSU beat #1 Florida in Baton Rouge and the next year LSU had to return the trip to Jortsville. Of course, because Spurrier is as petty as a high school girl, wanted to wear his whites at home and put LSU in purple.

Dinardo said F.U., we ain't wearing purple so they wore Gold insetad.

Too many

And for the record, if you put a period you don't have to spell it as well. Exclamation Point!

Juilliard Is a performing arts conservatory, so I guess that explains this stupidity.

I was at that game in Gainesville. I was in grad school at FSU at the time. I had forgotten about them wearing good in that one. I knew we did for Vandy and the Notre Dame Indy Bowl game under DiNardo.

I understand all the backstory. But I want purple jerseys at night in Death Valley. It’s my favorite. But the whites are cool too

LSU didn't wear gold jerseys that night. They're more of a noxious mustard colour.
