I think LSU should have never called the meeting, as I'm sure they knew he'd decline to talk to them at advice of counsel.

I’ll be the first to agree showing up and saying you can’t discuss it would have been a wiser move. But that might end in a suspension as well.

True it might have... but now we'll never know

If* the administration called the meeting on advice of counsel, which is literally something you’ve just made up in your head by the way, then they also knew that Wade would decline the meeting based upon the advice of his counsel. So if your theory is correct then they set a trap for Wade so they could suspend him because of pressure from the media.

Everyone loves a TD source, but I’ve heard a few things from a fairly prominent basketball booster:

- Wade went to meet with Alleva amd King, thinking it was only internal...and the NCAA officials were on the phone and Wades lawyers told him to walk away.

- They brought in Javonte and family for ~3 hours to talk with NCAA people on phone and they said he was fine to play, but Alleva made the call anyway to sit him.

- Wade is trying to come back, but it doesn’t sound good.

- Program is about to have a full ncaa anal probe.

- We hear about Javontes future on Tuesday

The fact that you think Wade would share details about all of this with his players is a bit ridiculous. Or that they would expect him to give details.

The meeting with Alleva was obviously to discuss everything, in detai

allowing it to be leaked that you requested said meeting and suspended him for not attending it just makes you look like an even bigger amateur. But King and Alleva seem like their goal is to position us to fire Wade with cause instead of backing him.

Alleva should have just popped in to discuss as opposed to asking for a meeting. Just walk into Wade’s office after practice or some shite. Keep it informal and in-house.

That sounds really plausible.

And people here are defending Alleva and King

What a couple of piece of shite, lying, morally bankrupt cocksuckers.

Look, that is directly from a guy that people on here know of. He gives a lot of money to the basketball program in particular.

He followed up with saying he didn’t hear it from Wade himself so it is hearsay, but his friends on the board relayed that to him.

At this point, it feels like an adult game of telephone.

Why would you let your coach be blindsided by NCAA investigators

instead of going into defense mode, Alleva and King go into self preservation mode. It's just fricking pathetic but par for the course.

There are 2 sides of the fence. Either:

A) The admins fricked up suspending him
B) Joe has hired 3 disaster BB coaches.

It’s weird that some of you choose to ignore that and just white know for Joe.

I assume LSU's legal team told them to request the meeting, yes.
and I suspect Wade's lawyer told him to keep his mouth shut completely. That probably is how I'd advise my client in that situation. There are too many unforeseeable land mines.

I would normally discount that as just a rumor, no way would alleva and king be stupid enough to blindside their bball coach with the ncaa already on the phone (while he is about to be subpoened for a federal case), but this is just par for the fricking course. And then lied about it to us with the whole “he didnt show up for the meeting”.

I hope this isnt true, because it just makes me more sick.

Also, if true, how could wade stay at lsu longterm after that. Somebody needs to print that story, call those 2 idiots out.
