I said this on November 28th and Hanny just confirmed it on TigerZone...

I’ve heard from quite a few “credible sources” that things like partying and drinking and weed and other stuff isn’t nearly as closely monitored at certain other schools like it is at LSU.
This is why players at LSU are so desperate to leave ASAP, whether it’s opting out or leaving as soon as they are draft eligible and have even the slightest chance to get drafted.

compliance department needs to be drained

I’ll just be transparent. My credible sources are 3 former players that have played on the team since 2016. None of these ever got in trouble, but they had friends on the team that they got close to who did get in trouble. That’s all I will say.

Add in the most stringent Covid protocols in the SEC and voila. Kentucky is the only other SEC state with a Democratic governor

Yeah but it evens out when you consider the lax enforcement of rape rules.

Haha, I just wanted to make it clear that my credible sources aren’t the step cousin of the assistant chefs ex wife.

Why not go after the sexual assault idiots, and fan the petty drug/alcohol idiots...

When did this all start because I know for a fact that a certain tight end circa 2008 had zero fear of “drinking, partying, weed and other stuff”.
I’m not saying that we’re not draconian now but I do wonder when it began.

We’ve known this for a long time.
How many starters is alabama or Auburn suspending for smoking weed? The answer is zero. We suspend someone new every week and have for years.
LSU voluntarily runs a strict drug testing program. The ncaa doesn’t make them, the sec doesn’t make them. It’s asinine that we intentionally undercut ourselves over fricking pot.

There is no question that our compliance department is too overbearing. For years I have been hearing that from people close to the program. That said, I don't think that has much to do with players leaving. Most leave because they don't like where they stand on the depth chart.

It’s not the transfers that’s the problem. It’s the early departures. It’s the juniors leaving and getting drafted in the 4th or 5th rounds. Stop making them live like nuns and you might keep a couple.

I believe that and ness to change frick that. Thought Woodward would make that change.

This is an honest question. I have no idea about the bureaucratic bullshite chain of command.
What happens if the football team just...says no to the compliance department? If it’s not NCAA enforced what would happen? Is the president or AD going to chose the compliance department over the football program when no one is forcing them to?

I listened to the show and I don’t recall him saying specifically this. I could be wrong & just missed it though.
