My dad hung Vince Lombardi’s “What it takes to be number 1” on my bedroom wall as a kid. Honestly, I read it so much (because it was forever hanging on my wall) that I can honestly say it shaped how I thought in a good way.

Admittedly, it doesn’t hurt that my dad valued the message and I valued my dad…so it was biased to stick.

Honestly, I don't consider it a strong suit of his. I think he feels much more comfortable tweeting and the like. To me he seems a bit uncomfortable speaking in traditional public forums a coach speaks in which surprised me once he got here and I paid more attention.

But hey, he's better at it than Les and if he wins ICGAF.

Agree, he speaks in a professional and clear manner while avoiding the corporate CEO speak that BK always spewed

He does seem awkward at the podium at times but the exagerrated "royal we" cracks me up. He definitely does it on purpose.

Saban like but at a younger age more successful. He could bring home a couple of rings with the right support over time.

I am pretty sure Kiffin actually is on the spectrum in some capacity. His mannerisms, the way he talks sometimes, his aloofness to relationships and always burning bridges leaving somewhere, his savant like ability at calling offense, the way he seemed completely oblivious to the reasons why he was not going to be allowed to coach in the playoffs, etc.

It’s very difficult for me not to get absolutely consumed by his hand mannerisms.

I feel like he mimics saban’s hand movements. They are almost exactly the same

As a parent of a child with autism, I have what we call Tism Radar. You just start noticing things, because you see it in your child. Kiffin is 100% on the spectrum.

Same here. I thought it was very clear during his intro presser.

I know what you mean. It goes beyond football even. When he talks you can really appreciate the things he is saying on an intellectual level.
