Op I would not call that a prediction, more of a safe bet or historical educated guess.

As Fans every year we think is the year we FINALLY see a new offense- so why not let's us hope and dream another year?

win the game

I got no problem with that.

I don't care what the offense looks like as long as LSU wins the game. I'd rather win a game with no pass attempts than lose the game passing for 35-50 for 600 yards and 4 TDs.

For those wanting a wide open offense, wish all you want. The facts are that Orgeron already said the ratio will be 50% run 50% pass

It will be more conservative, but we will throw the ball a lot more to spread the D. Expect our Screen game to mirror the saints, that was our main focus on the offensive side of the ball while we were there.

It's a pussified mentality, and I detest it! The offense needs to be aggressive and creative. I
most accurate statement of all time on the rant. All people down voting it have pussified mentalities. Hopefully, O isn't one of them.

Furthermore, having a great D doesn't mean you have to be conservative. It also means you can be aggressive and have the defense to cover up your mistakes.

Miles core plays were not his problem, Toss dive, running between the tackles these were well executed plays. It's what he didn't run killed us. Quick screens, jet sweeps to spread the defense and keep them honest. Now add in dump off passes to the RB's and TE's. These minor tweaks would have made that same offense look %100 different and Miles would still be the coach. And you would not have needed a Brady or Bree's to make it work.

It is possible for an offense to throw the ball the majority of the time and still be conservative. This is what I see. Passes to RBs out of the backfield, bubble screens to WRs, passes to TEs, slants over the middle will replace some of our running game. I see the offense becoming more aggressive as the year goes, but definitely more conservative (not necessarily running game) in the beginning.

There is absolutely nothing about the small sample size we have of Ensminger’s offense that suggests it will be conservative. Both he and Orgeron have been quoted as saying wide receivers are the strength of this offense. Ensminger philosophically is a former qb who wants to throw the ball. They didn’t attract Burrow by telling him they need him to hand the ball off.

After the Jarrett Lee debacle in 2008, Les Miles stopped calling for pass plays to the middle of the field.

The hate for a guy who kept this program at an elite level for 10 years is unreal.

And then you same frickers who hate on Miles have some weird infatuation with O. It's truly mind boggling.

50/50 is way more passing than LSU has done since probably 2001 maybe?

That's something like a 35 ppg avg. I honestly came remember a time where we did that

Eta-Last time was 1999
