In this day and age of transferring blame I am very happy to see him man up and admit a mistake. That to me shows that he is a better man than most think. EVERYONE makes mistakes.

Like it or not...he is the Head Coach @ LSU!!!

So, man up and root for LSU!!!!

He didn't admit to shite until after coming up with a bunch of excuses first.

Who gives a frick if he's a good man. I don't care if he's a total fricking prick. I just want him to be a good football coach. Why are LSU fans so enamored with the fact that Miles is a "good man?"

But not everyone gets paid $3.75 million while continually making the same mistakes over and over.

So he can go 6-6 next year, but as long as he admits he can't coach, you're O.K. with it?

No he didn't. He ended every excuse and every time he threw someone else under the bus with "I take full responsibility."

There is a real difference in actually taking responsibility and using it as a catchphrase after you blame everything and everyone else.

You evidently don't understand the point being just because someone says they made a mistake doesn't make things better. He still should be fired.

Don't try to inject a sliver of reason here. Les Miles personally and purposely lost the game just to bruise the egos of the LSU fans.
None of whom by the way have ever made a bad decision or mistake.

You evidently don't understand that nothing... no matter how disappointing... having to do with a college football game needs to be compared to 9-11.

Saban already compared to CFB to both 9/11 and Pearl Harbor.

yeah... and the point was that many people thought it was classless ( and it was)... that is why I thought this poster may want to re-think...

Again, just because someone says they made the mistake should not take away from the overall performance.

Nick Saban approves this message and may use it in his pre-game speech before the Iron Bowl. La Monroe was Pearl Harbor, and Miles jumping on the sword is 9/11. Awesome.

So everyone would rather him not admit it? What else could he do?

He knows he screwed up. He did what anybody else would have done. Really search yourself. Would you have done any differently?

It's human nature to say, "It's not my fault." Every parent knows it's the first thing a kid will learn to do. Shift the blame.

I think I'd rather him own up and say it then pretend any different. But that's my opinion.

Nothing to rethink. It was a comparison. I never accused Miles of anything except being a bad coach with bad decisions. Are you losing sleep over it?

Very simple, as a poster stated last night, he should have taken the road of "shite starts with me, shite ends with me".
