He only admitted it after falling on his face in the post game interview. He still had his headset on 2 minutes after the game was over. Who the hell is he listening to? He should of had that off after the last time out. He should make be able to make a freaking call for one play or a field goal from the field he shouldn't need his bitch upstairs to tell him what to do.

If you're being honest, I guess that's as good of an excuse as any other.

Actually, what reason do I have to like the guy?

By most accounts, most LSU fans (before this game) had nothing but pleasant things to say about Les Miles (the person), notwithstanding what they felt about him as (the coach).

I'd love to sniff the rarefied air that some of you breathe where a mistake that can't be considered a felony is cause for reversal of opinion. If only I could be so perfect.

If it's someone elses fault (His Words) Then I wanted to see him come off the field as pissed off as I was. Not stand there like theres another half.

You state your position. The reason given is probably not accurate, but it does keep you from giving a more honest answer.

Now, you ask that your position be swayed with convincing from others. How is anyone going to convince you (or make an argument attempting to) if you won't even reveal your true motives for stating your real position in the first place?

If you'd read my post, you'd see that I implicitly meant "moral mistakes", such as the "lie" he apparently told. Not coaching mistakes.

Look, I liked the guy as a person before too, but this just proved to me the kind of man he REALLY is for the final time. He's just like Saban. It's never his fault. He has blamed his players for everything that went wrong the past two years.

Only reason he fired Malveto was because of the fan outrage. He wasn't going to force out his buddies if he didn't have to.

So, a singular event counts as a penultimate reason for changing your mind, even in the face of a longer belief that he was a good person? Are you that easily un-trenched from your personal beliefs?

You just gave an example of a professional error, but also a rather good example of loyalty and, as some might construe, being a "good" person.

No, I've been swinging to the not liking Miles as a person crowd for a while. This simply confirmed what I feared. He refuses to take accountability and will even lie and blame a 19 year-old kid for doing what he told him and his mistakes.

He did it with Lee last year and I was really upset. He continually blamed his players rather than holding his assistants or himself accountable. That is not a man. That is a coward.

Miles lost me a long time ago, and this past weekend was confirmation that I will never go back to supporting HIM, but I will support LSU.

Why is loyalty considered some good quality when it is at the detriment of everyone else in the group? Are you really that stupid?

His loyalty to his buddies ruined LSU's season last year. His loyalty to his buddies hurt his players. His loyalty hurt the university.

Loyalty CAN be a virtue, but with Miles it is NOT.

This is still very much up in the air.

Um, you're gonna' have to give me some attribution on that. I don't remember him doing that at all.

Again, you're addressing the "professional" side of things. Are you telling me that loyalty is the trait of a bad person? Or that loyalty is created due to bad intentions? I think you're parsing what I said incorrectly.

Again, nothing beyond a professional mistake. I'm pretty certain Miles' loyalty wasn't a product of any maliciousness or ill-intent on his part.

Dude he gets paid MILLIONS to NOT have a major meltdown like the Ole Miss game. It's as simple as that.

The proper response:

1. "I am responsible... the buck stops here.. I am in charge"

2. "I have been neglectfull in my duties as head coach and that will stop TODAY"

3. "I will immediately assess my entire coaching staff, get advice from experts, and make changes to improve this team. I will scrutinize their every move, as is expected of me."

4. "I will take a 25% pay cut in year 2010 to show my determination to this school and community"

5. "I will seek out the advice of those smarter than I to improve my skills"

6. "I love this school, this city, and this state and will dedicate myself to returning this program to where it was or better than when I arrived.

7. "I will study and perfect various phases of coaching I do not understand IE: clock management and game control"

8. "Thank you for your patience and tolerance"

8. "Geaux Tigers"

Respectfully,
Les Miles

He could coach here forever

Ummm.. He blatantly blamed Lee after several of our losses in his press conferences, particularly after UGA and Bama.

You can act like he didn't, but I am not the only one who has seen him do this.

He is no better than Saban as a person. I hate to say it, but Saban was an a-hole, but he didn't try to hide it. Miles may be a nice guy, but he's willing to blame KIDS for his and his STAFFS' mistakes.

I don't understand how your morals don't go with your professionalism. They should be linked.

Dude. Who gives a frick if someone doesn't like the guy as a person. I know I sure don't care. That's not the issue at hand. I'm not going to hang out with Les Miles, my kids aren't going to play for him, and neither are most of the people on this board. All that I care about is how he can coach and whether he can utilize this team's talent. Well, I think these past few seasons have said a lot about it.

Quit being so sensitive about people hating Miles. Who gives a shite if people hate Miles as a person? Why the frick does it matter? He's our coach, not a fricking babysitter.
