Is he going to dig his heels into the mud as he says "I don't want to do the transfer portal/NIL thing" as our conference peers stack talent on top of talent.
Pretty sure LSU literally had the number 1 Transfer class last year.. Where do you clowns come from?

Kelly has won the sec west and has had a Heisman QB. What has kiffen done?

He had one decent season at a mid tier SEC team. He’s obviously better than Saban, Bear, all of them combined.
Never mind the fact that every team he’s coached has had an abysmal defense (you know, that same issue we had this year so none of these Kiffin fanboys can tell you how Kiffin would make LSU better than it currently is).

Why would Kiffin leave Ole Miss for LSU?
Posted on 12/31/23 at 2:37 pm to tigerbait3488
Amen. Been saying that for years now.

lol. Zero percent chance.

With Milroe coming back, Bama will be preseason #1 followed in some order by Georgia, Michigan, Ohio State and Texas. The usual preseason suspects.
1. Bama
2. UGA
3. Texas
4. Ohio St - IF they get Cam Ward
5. Ole Miss - this is their best bet
6. Oregon
7. Mizzu
8. LSU
9. Penn St
10. Arizona or Oklahoma or Notre Dame
Michigan falls off if Mccarthy leaves, and both RBs. If they bring back Mccarthy and Edwards (RB), I'd put em at 7 and move everybody else down. FSU and Washington will fall off a cliff. I can't see either as top 10.
quote:I don't think he will manage either. People keep talking about an "easy schedule". It's not easy, none of the SEC schedules are easy. It might be one of the easier ones, but that's it. They have to play LSU on the road and have to play Oklahoma, UGA, and Kentucky.
Best Ole Miss can hope for is preseason #6. And I don’t think Lane can manage with high expectations

Came here to check the ratio. Was not disappoint.

The Raiders and Trojans disagree

They picked up some significant defensive line help in the portal. It would be difficult to imagine that but having an effect.

So you clearly don’t understand the lay of the land. Auburn has deep pockets. Is located right down the road from ATL and has a history. I.E. Auburn has been there and done this before.
How can anyone can knows the SEC legit try to argue that ole Miss is a better job than Auburn?
Because history hs no affect on the current program. Historically Nebraska is a great program but it's a shite program now. Auburn struggling to make a bowl when they offered Kiffin shows where the program is, not auburn's history.
Auburn's pockets are so deep Kiffen makes 7 times what their headcoach does.
Just because a program used to be a better job doesn't mean it always is. Kiffen in year 2 or 3 at Ole Miss is a better job than an auburn job that needs a complete rebuild.

Ole Miss may be having success at the moment, but there are locked-in issues they will never be able to overcome. They are in the poorest state in the SEC, which also has a smaller population than Alabama. Then you have two SEC programs splitting that already smaller pie.
Just look at the alumni bases and stadium sizes. Auburn may not have pulled Kiffin because of the situation last year, but that doesn’t mean as much as you want it to. It’s still the better overall program and has better prospects for long-term success.

If I was Woodward, if next season goes sideways, I would make a hard hard push for Kiffin.
Who is going to pay the 70 million dollars to buyout Kelly?

Didn’t the dude leave the SEC to fail miserably at the PAC-12’s best football school…the one that pulls in a TON of talent from one of the most talent rich states in the country? He’s a show boat coach… a snake oil salesman.
Posted on 1/1/24 at 7:35 am to tigerbait3488
Lanes not a bad coach but he’s a fricking twat and a pretty huge douchebag.
Posted on 1/1/24 at 7:36 am to JumpingTheShark
He has never won anything at the P5 level.
He is a pretty good coach, but not elite. LSU could make him better, but USC couldnt.

He will be up and down. His style does not build stability!

Beat LSU at Ole Miss. How often do we lose to Ole Miss. I bet Preseason, everyone had that marked as a "W".
Fans are getting nervous when Ole Miss becomes a threat.
