Actually, his first CWS team at Arizona was primarily recruited by Andy Garcia, the previous coach.
Andy Garcia coached at Arizona? LMAO, I knew he was a good actor but not enough to act his way through coaching. If you’re gonna cite stuff get your facts straight you dumbass.

quote:Paul did very little recruiting his last couple of years the majority of the players people are saying that’s “Paul players” were recruited by Cain.
guy say that Mainieri didn’t recruit either of those guys which just isn’t true considering they both committed to Mainieri.

Why are you calling me a dumbass? That guy say that Mainieri didn’t recruit either of those guys which just isn’t true considering they both committed to Mainieri.
because one of those guys that Mainieri “recruited” signed with a team other than LSU the year he committed for one.
then he transferred to another team not named LSU a year after he “committed” to LSU.
i mean do we really get to count guys that signed elsewhere as a coach’s players because at one time they were committed?

Lmao I love these takes lmao well you see Paul M didn’t win a title with those guy jay did not Paul so you can stop there!
Posted on 4/6/24 at 9:52 pm to GA Tiger
And Les miles got to the championship with his players his way!

Stop with all these lazy takes the coach still has to coach we had hitting problem with Paul and now jay has bunch of young guys y’all flip out ! It’s called attrition!

Again he went to Delgado because he would have been ineligible for the first year without going to a CC first due to NCAA rules. He also wanted to be closer to his grandmother that had cancer.

Who are you talking about? You are so fricking stupid it’s incredible.

You said YET! Jay filled the roster up last year with good ones I’ll trust jay he can recruit he is relentless at it you people think he’s done!! It’s laughable!

he signed at fricking Nicholls the year you say he “committed” to Mainieri.
not Delgado. Nicholls.
another Div 1 public school in the state of Louisiana.
great, he “committed” to Paul.
signed somewhere other than where Paul was coaching.
so why are you counting him as a Paul recruit?
because he was committed at one time?
seriously?

Finally someone with some sense!

Holy frick he signed with Nicholls in 2019 out of high school after decommitting from Alabama because they fired their coach. He committed to LSU in 2020.
quote:
not Delgado. Nicholls. another Div 1 public school in the state of Louisiana.
AFTER his freshman year at Nicholls, he announced he was committing to LSU for the 2022 season but would play for Delgado in 2021.
quote:
so why are you counting him as a Paul recruit?
Because Paul recruited him to LSU and he came to LSU.

Overreaction is the currency on this board.

so guys like Clyde Edward-Helaire, Jacoby Stevens, Ed Ingram, Sahdiq Charles, Patrick Queen, etc. are all Les Miles recruits?
i mean they all committed to Les Miles then came play here.

wow.
ok.
today i learned that the guy you SIGN with does not get the credit for landing you.
Posted on 4/6/24 at 10:47 pm to Nutriaitch
They can both get credit. But you said those guys were not recruited by Mainieri which just isn’t true. They both committed to Mainieri which means he obviously recruited them. It’s really not that hard of a concept to follow. You stated false information, I corrected you, then you got pissed for some reason.
By the way Jobert signed his National Letter of Intent to play for LSU in November of 2020. Paul Mainieri was the head coach of LSU at that time. So you were wrong on that as well. You just have no idea what you are talking about.

This logic implicitly admits that you think coaching has no impact. You might not think it makes you look stupid, but it does.

I have been critical of him and said that people comparing him to O were not entirely off base. Do I think it will end the same way? Absolutely not.
If he can make us look more competitive through the end of the season and have a better showing next year, all will be forgiven. We, myself included, had unrealistic expectations this season, but the team has not even looked average
