Even with a permit it is illegal on the parade route

Sounds like he is a patriot, not a criminal.
Sounds like he understands that the police aren't going to protect you in the cities. I can't blame him.
Hope they don't ruin a kid over this.

Young man, you should have followed JD’s example.

He wasn’t on the parade route

It looks like he wasn't on a parade route but if he is concealing a weapon that's where the issue exists. We need to get the particulars on this arrest before we make judgement on Malik. Hopefully, LSU doesn't drop the hammer on him. I think now days carrying legally in NOLA is a safe thing to do.

What another article said was that police saw something L shaped in his front pocket, stopped him, asked if it was a gun and did he have a CCP.
Maybe he should wear baggy clothes.

First of all, hate he had guts enough to go to NOLA.
Second of all, I don't blame him for carrying.

If there was no incident involved then it shouldn`t be too bad. Lesson learned for Malik on how to carry.

Why does report say weapon and not “gun”?
Posted on 2/21/23 at 6:29 pm to Byrdybyrd05
You cannot carry that shite anywhere near the parade route or bourbon. Orpheus was still rolling but wasn’t close enough for the parade route charge

In his defense, it's New Orleans. He'd be crazy not to be carrying in that shithole.
