Finley is going to be their backup this year but I liked him as a QB and thank him for doing his best with the mess he was handed last season

He probably wasn’t going to beat out Max here so I’m pulling for him to do well against everyone not wearing purple and gold for the rest of his career

maybe giving a scholarship to an inferior athlete to sign his 5-star bro, which isn't too uncommon, but not start them because of the relationship if they shouldn't be on the field

It's hilarious that you keep trying to convince this board he's something that he's not. And your evidence today is that he moved up to a spot on the depth chart that he was already at

I hope he is the starter, if he couldn't move up the chart here but they think he's the best they've got it's a good thing for us, I think

Imo, he's better than Bo. Neither are great.

Joe burrow improved his accuracy with footwork among other things. Now In the nfl that’s true, by that time you have developed into whatever you will be as far as throwing motion and footwork, for the most part.

What im saying is with tj, he was so raw , so so raw. Then COVID hits and he has no qb coach for the most part. I believe when he has somewhat of a coaching point to work on , the accuracy has to improve. I don’t think it can get worse with a real qb coach.

I feel like im running around taking up for this kid like he’s a relative or something. Lol.
No clue why im doing it tbh. Maybe I see something in him . I mean , im a 34 year old white guy, it’s not like I think he was treated in some unfair way.

I just feel we are hard on theses kids , especially the ones that transfer or decommit. I wish we would just treat them the same wether they leave or not, unless they do us dirty or are morally reprehensible people, in general.

I’m not trying to say anything like that, I was sitting in my car and the radio came in with an sec update saying that tj Finley has moved up to the backup spot on the depth chart which he wasn’t before, and then it said that coaches and reporters at practice were impressed to the point that theirs an actual competition going on.

I figured that was worth a thread. It seems I’m not the only one who would like to see him play good against anyone but us. I posted the reasons for that

TJ Finley is the most overrated LSU QB in history. Glad he's someone else's problem now

I'm happy for him.
Hope he has a great career at Auburn.

Bo Nix is like Taysom Hill except less jacked and weaker arm.

Bo will be game one starter.

I’d like to see him prove that accuracy can improve with improved footwork. That myth that it’s something you have or don’t have is bullshite

The "myth" has grown. It's from Mike Leach. He didn't say you can't improve accuracy, he said you can't make an very inaccurate passer into a very accurate one.

And I think that's largely true. You very rarely see 55% passers go to 68% passers in the same system.

Some LSU "fans" have a lack of LSU-esteem, so they shite on every ex-player and often current players and coaches.

Have you watched Nix play more than once ? Wouldn’t be surprised to see TJ take over by mid October.

Yeah I watched Nix whip our arse last season and watched him beat Alabama in 2019. Remind me, who was our QB when Auburn beat us last season?
