Watching Jones, Braswell, and Dickinson batting is tough to watch. Jones or Braswell can't touch any pitch on outside or offspeed they are done.

I'm very happy we won. I knew this was going to be a close game. The frustration I had was watching so many good pitches where LSU hitters (especially the top of the order) not even swing. Jones watched first pitch strikes down the middle and then swing at pitches down and away.

I know they would not get 10 hits. 16 K with 10 from the guy who came in relief was frustrating to watch. Glad the defense especially Braswell played very well. Kade got the Ks but also the ground ball double plays when needed.

Not be so passive at the pitches. Curiel and Milam had great hits late bc they were aggressive. Need that on Monday.

We haven’t hit that well away from the Box all year.

I don’t expect that to change

100% this. I know many may not agree, but maybe some need to be given the green light to swing at first meatball they get. They usually come early in the count and wont see it again. Lets just say a "legend coach" in
Louisiana once told me a long time ago, "your only gonna get one good pitch in an at bat, you have to recognize it and crush it because your not gonna see it again." Free swing them sometimes. The opponent won't expect it.

Well they did play well in the Frisco challenge. They have hit better against non SEC opponents. Look at what they did in the regional and super regional. I think they will hit better. They certainly should not strike out 16 times.

I think we will. No diss on the sissy blue shirts but we are gonna see their #2. We went thru the sec gauntlet of aces. Hopefully we can touch him some. Not to mention we got another ACE on Monday to pitch so. It's ours to lose. Win Monday and we have a good chance.

Those were big leaguers pitching if that helps

ikr, we had none at the plate? I guess not right.

We put up 4 runs on those big league pitchers. The current average runs per game by MLB teams seems to be about 4.26. So our guys put up basically the same numbers against these big league pitchers that actual big league hitters do, so I guess we've got something behind the plate.

There is zero reason to give a shite about 16 Ks. We scored 4 runs. Ks don't win or lose games, runs do. We faced literally the most elite pitching in the country -- which we are guaranteed not to face again (even if we do see Gaeckle again Wednesday or Thursday, he will not be the same pitcher on 2 or 3 days rest after an outing like that), and we put up 3 more runs than our elite pitching allowed against likely the best offense remaining in the tournament. There is a reason Arkansas was the highest rated team left in Omaha, and there is a reason we were the next highest rated.

We could obviously still lose one, two or three games. But there is absolutely zero justification for any concern whatsoever on any front from tonight's performance. It was exactly what we hoped for in our best case scenario for winning the Championship.

I think when 2 players strike out what, 7 or 8 times combined, there is cause for concern. That's just me though....and yes it was elite pitching and yes the book is out on Jones and bras as well. Ucla pitcher throws a lot of junk....

I’ll take 16k’s and a 4-1 win in every game in Omaha.

It’s just about the W now.

I think people just have a short fuse at this point with certain posters and comments bc it’s rarely anything positive from some of yall. It’s the same people griping about every imperfection while acting like other teams are just unbeatable. Our team is not perfect but neither is anyone else. The complaining about everything even when they beat the “most talented team in the country” gets old.
