I hope we get the same Brennan back as 2020 for the bama game or at least the Aggie game.

I still find it amazing that the coaches were going to probably start max even if Brennan was healthy.

I mean my God , look at the throws in this game , especially in the first quarter or first half.
I just hope he’s still working out with it being his left arm. He can do all the conditioning stuff and has even started throwing again.
Even though it was the non throwing arm , I think it’s good that they were cautious. You don’t want to exert a ton of torque throughout the whole body with a fresh break, I wouldnt think that’s a good idea anyway.

The link is the Missouri game . the sideline throw in the first half and the seam to Gilbert are throws we would like our qb to be capable of making , but to be fair, I’m not sure 10 % of the starters in fbs this year can make those throws.

Also, Shanahann gets blown back on his heels every play in this game. He’s doing it now too

Jenkins couldn’t catch last year either apparently

Kirklin is the guy we need back , I’d like to sit Jenkins for him, but not sure kirklin is capable of playing anywhere but the slot effectively, consistently.
I don’t want to bench Palmer , he’s figuring it out

I hope we get Brennan back soon, too.

Max wasn’t going to start ahead of Brennan. Don’t believe the tards who tried to convince of that here.

No QB is going to be successful in this current offense

What makes you think that? Just because some idiots on here said that Max was the better QB, doesn't mean that's who would have started.

Honestly if we get Brennan back and E taking over interim calling plays we might be able to salvage an upset of 1 team this season and ruin their chances.

Or the many past players and people who were at practice who also said they believe Max was starting.

Regardless. Brennan won't be some knight in shining armor coming to save the day, he will look just as shitty behind the non existent o line that this team has. He will get happy feet and freeze like he did most of last season before the injury. Then we he does get a ball off the receivers will probably drop it.

It should be obvious by now the difference between the two players. Max needed 9 turnovers, defensive scores, a shoe throw, a record long FG in thick fog and a solid running game to get those 2 wins that everybody gave him the sole credit for. Not only were Brennan’s numbers better but he faced tougher defenses and had very little help yet still produced more points. He has the ability to drag a derelict offense along and keep pace when the D can’t stop anyone, Max can’t. No reasonable person could think Max was going to start over Brennan.

You mean radio personalities who feed on controversial topics for content?

None of what you said matters. Max has "it," is what I was told.

“It factor” = I can’t make an objective argument so I use an undefinable term to make my case.

Yeah, because an even less mobile QB is going to thrive behind LSU’s awful, awful offensive line.

Brennan put up 371 yards per game 3.7TDs and 38.7ppg behind the same line last season. Trying to use mobility as an excuse or reason is simply ignorant. Getting the ball out quickly and forcing the D to defend the entire field is how you offset pressure. It’s not Xbox, you can’t just run away from the rush in real life.

He didn't get sole credit. But you're acting like he did nothing to contribute in a major way to those wins. In his first two starts, without LSU's top two receiving threats and top two RBs, Max Johnson threw for 675 yards, ran for almost another 100, accounted for 8 TDs to 1 Int., outplayed Heisman candidate Kyle Trask on the road in The Swamp, and generally did a great job in helping LSU win 2 games that 90% of people thought we'd lose. I think Brennan played tough and has a much better downfield arm at this point. But he also had all of LSU's best skill players playing when he was starting. You failed to mention that.

I do feel like Max (as well as almost the whole offense) looks worse than last year. But I'm not going to act like he didn't play very well at the end of last year with most of LSU's top skill players out.

Are some of you so dumb that you really think the only way a QB can get around having a bad OL is to run away? Mobile QBs struggle behind bad lines too.

What if Brennan makes better pre snap reads, post snap reads, and gets the ball out quicker? You don't think these things would help more than just being fast?

What’s predictable is the completely one sided context and straw men you guys constantly use to skirt the facts. Also claiming that he outplayed Trask, who threw for double the yardage Max did, while ignoring the turnovers our “Defense” created which led to 21 points just proves my original statement. Playing the omissive context game just opens the door for nothing but bias. If you can’t point to equal standards of measurement you can’t be objective.

And he had an injury that the medical specialists had never seen after 3 games because he kept getting wrecked so bad. What is your point?

That’s nothing but a deflection and my point was illustrated clearly in my post.
