So you clearly did not watch LSU baseball in 2013.

I did watch plenty in 2013, it was obvious the upside that Stevenson possessed. Hints why he was an MLB player.

Hal is hitting .176 and his .278 on base percentage is worse than 7 others batting average.

In 2009, Austin Nola's average never got above .240 in a lineup that had nothing but .300 hitters, yet so many people credit the move to bench Landry and start Nola as the catalyst for that CWS win.

Ok, I'll play, what upside did Stevenson show at the plate in 2013?

We are getting away from the main point

Reid is a better option at 3rd.
Are we? You’re the one who asked for a similar example.

And Reid isn’t a better option at 3B. Not when we are hitting.

We weren’t playing Stevenson in CF in 2013 in Omaha because of his fricking upside. Eat shite.

The keyboard warrior here. You’re* comparing an MLB outfielder to Hal fricking Hughes.

You seriously going to double down on this? Stevenson has 1 extra base hit in 2013. 1. His OB% was just as bad. What potential did he show at the plate??? He had to completely change his swing over the summer to be the hitter he became. Nothing was apparent that first year.

And unless I’m losing my mind, Reid played last night so the Reid’s bat vs Hughes’ glove debate is pointless.

It should be Hughes’ glove vs the bat of someone else on the bench.

No. I’m not. We* are comparing 2013 Stevenson to 2019 Hughes. Why? Because you didn’t think someone like Hughes existed before. Dumbass.

Pro-tip, using hindsight as the main ammo for your argument is ignorant as hell.

Please tell me what upside Stevenson showed at the plate in 2013.

The move would be Gio to DH. Cade to 1B. Reid to 3B.

Rant, you guys were correct. Ell and his buddies have a hard on for keeping Hal in the line up.

Ell, you need to relax a bit. You have nearly 70K posts on an internet message board.

No, we’ve provided an example of the exact same discussion 6 years ago....which is what you specifically asked for.

This is damning evidence for just how awful he was at the plate as a freshman to have just 1 XBH even with world class speed.

I want to say at least 40 percent of his hits that season were routine ground balls that he beat out.

Haven’t gotten a post count boom in a long time. Didn’t think people still resorted to that weak shite.

All I know is we started winning again with this current lineup after losing 5 in a row.

Exactly.

So it’s Hughes vs Reid defensively, Reid vs Beloso defensively, and Hughes vs Gio offensively.

He was pretty terrible at the plate, but he was a great outfielder, much more so than Hal is at 3rd base, and if Stevenson got on base, he was going to steal second and get in scoring position. Hal is slow as frick on the bases.

He had 5 SBs the entire 2013 season. Next.
