The short review and almost immediate tweet from the SEC is real bad optics for them.

I didn't want to start another thread on this topic for my half-baked thought so decided to insert it here...
With two weeks to prepare for Bama, that should be enough time to put in a 'White-Cat' package. If the offense struggles in the 1st half and/or the opportunity presents itself in the 2nd half (i.e. within a drive or short yardage), remember that White is a former RB and obviously a tremendous leader that should be able to handle the situation well.
If he can't play a full game, then maybe he can play both sides of the ball for a half. Something tells me the crowd would feed off of it also.

well, in fairness, if we still played without facemasks, players wouldn't be leading with their heads like they do now. The reasoning for having a targeting rule is understandable, but they just went too far overboard with the penalties for breaking the rule.

As serious a penalty as this brings targeting calls should ALL be reviewed by a disinterested third party. Every last targeting call. The fact that they are not reviewable leads to a huge advantage to under the table, pay to win, cheating teams such as The University of Alabama at Tuscaloosa.
