Thomas Williams - The SEC is in the tank for Alabama and has been that way over the past 12 years. I don't believe a thing that they say anymore. That was not a targeting play by LB White but simply a football play you lying pack of SEC dirty dogs

Suit someone up in #40 and put him on the bench for the first half. Give DW #41 or some other number and run him out there, just make sure he keeps the helmet on even on the sidelines. At least it sounds good.

Only reason I have a little suspicion (and I don't think the SEC office does much more than turn a blind eye to minor violations/$$ to players type stuff for Bama and most big programs) is because of the fast review and upheld decision. The review shouldn't be handled by SEC officials, it should be contracted referees from another conference.
There is NO WAY you can review THAT call THAT fast and uphold the decision. It seems like the guy reviewing was either totally lazy or considering the implications to White and choosing to keep a bogus targeting call which indicates bias.
To suspend a player of his caliber for the first half of the biggest game on a hit like that is just too much to ignore!

This is poor logic.
It would show Absolute objectivity and non-bias to offer an avenue for appeal and corrections for egregious calls. I don't think the flag was egregious, but the call was. Call roughing the passer, but THAT was NOT targeting.

Actually an excellent idea.
Treating White's hit as though it's the the same as if he had launched and speared the guy with the crown of his helmet is so remarkably intellectually dishonest it's sickening.
When I was in college, competitors weren't pussies. We never wanted to play a team at less than full strength. Give us your best, we'll give you ours. May the best team win... That's how gentlemen compete.
That Alabama fans aren't embarrassed by the blatant, irrefutable cheating is sickening. If I was one of their fans, I'd be calling everyone on that side a pussy for feeling like they need to remove one of our best players to have a chance.
