I have a gut feeling that having Freshman db’s this game might just help us

For the reason that it gets into Milroes head. I think he will try to challenge them, but technically he’s not the most accurate QB to challenge them. As of now he’s known for the deep bombs. I believe he will have a lot of off throws, overthrows, misfires. And it will be enough to get our offense the ball to go up a score each time.
I also want to give respect to our Freshman. Im sure they will rise to the occasion. Hopefully we get a Rashard Robinson/Tre’Davious white Texas A&M game like performance out of these guys.
Theres only 2 options for Saturday. Milroe is either going to respect them or make it his business to challenge them.

It can’t possibly be worse.

im at least hopeful that the physical talent level will be a notch higher, even if the knowledge and experience drops off
mascona (i know) had several good examples of DB's being forced to play early and played REALLY well...Rashard Robinson and Greedy Williams specifically.

The issue is more about Jermaine Burton than it is Milroe. Milroe throws a phenomenal deep ball, and Burton has done a great job adjusting to back shoulder balls this year. That's gonna be where they'll try to kill us. If we get pressure consistently they honestly don't have a chance.

Why would he respect freshman DB's that haven't been good enough to play on one of the worst pass defenses in the country?

Just hope we play disciplined ball. Thats all we can hope for

Only thing that worries me is having sage Ryan starting . I rather another freshman to start . I’ve seen enough of sage Ryan at CB

Know your job and tackle well in space. Burton and others will get open. Don't let the routine completion turn into an explosive play.
Our front 7 MUST help our DBs, and our DBs must not leave their man or zone.
I hope we are writing about the next great, young Tiger DB late Sat night who played a superb game.

This is where recruiting disciplined athletes come into play. It isn't always the flashiest athletes making plays against subpar QB's in high school. Its the talent, that plays other talent and just an overall discplined athletes. Hughes and Yaites looks to be those kinda guys

That’s exactly his point I do believe. IMO the OP is saying the guy isn’t an accurate QB, with an unknown product in our defensive backfield, this could lead to pushing too hard or having too much confidence in his suspect accuracy.

He is our best CB currently and it's really not that close.

Well, I can honestly say my confidence of beating Bama is higher than it has been the last 3 years.

If anything it sets up for a better secondary next year so why not

He much less accurate under pressure. Keep Perkins in his face
