The biggest advantage of that first game is that it allows the staff to see what they missed in preparation and make adjustments.

I am assuming that BK doesn’t miss much in preparation. I don’t expect first game issues getting the right players and play calls communicated to the field. I don’t expect a bunch of presnap penalties. I expect a very well prepared LSU team to take the field for game 1.

LSU has the better staff and athletes. BK will take advantage of the game film of FSU and have this team prepared. FSU staff will be guessing what LSU will do and then have to make adjustments on the fly.

LSU is a top tier program, that should not matter one bit.

If this team is not ready by Sunday, then we are not a top tier program.

That’s what I’m thinking or set them for week 2. Like we did with Texas. Guarantee us a warm up too.

Whoever is setting up these matchups needs to add a “no week zero games” clause to the contracts.

Florida State is playing Duquesne at home.
The idea this prepares them to travel to the Superdome to play LSU on the road is doubtful. LSU has more talent and should be more than ready to play.

College football should do away with week 0 games.

Or, just maybe, they should call it week 1.

If these Week Zero games are that important in terms of getting a game in before your opponent, then why aren’t Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State, Clemson, etc playing in one?

I think it’s a silly thing to worry about.

I’ll watch any college football week zero. I’m just excited to have football back.

Yea, just move everyone up one week and give everyone an extra bye week.

Kickoff games aren't exactly kickoff games if there were games the week before.

We do get to see some of what they have. That’s a plus.

Biggest improvement for most teams is from game 1 to game 2.
Is this Game 1 or Game 0?

This is a practice for them

Right and they get nothing on us. They don’t even know who our QB is.

Their game is the least of my concerns.
