We weren't sure when we would put it all together, then we beat a good Auburn team at Auburn.
We were not there but other teams took notice Bama was Bama,a&m needed the officials and 7 overtimes even after we beat them at least 3 times already that game.we lost but nobody could question the heart and grit our boys had.10-3
Them boys then went and had the greatest seasons in college football history.
That was with coach O.
I'm not a hater,thank you coach O,best of luck to you.time to move on,but I will never forget.but...now
MUTHA frickIN'B.K.FINNA EAT!

How about being a realist and looking at the picture instead of feelings. All this feelings shite and 10-2 or 9-3 will only lead to heartache. I’m not a Debbie Downer, just looking at it objectively considering the schedule, the lack of continuity and lack of quality depth at critical positions let alone shite known about QB.

Factor that in and this is squarely an 7-5/8-4 season, which is fine for what it is.

I expect a more focused, more disciplined team that's coached far better than the last two years. I expect a roster of players who are actually held accountable, and players who don't quit during the season, but compete every single week.

Beyond that, I'll just let it play out and hope to be pleased at season's end.

fully agree.
I just want them playing better at the back end of the season than start.

10-3 ain’t happening. 8-4 would be a very good season. Some of y’all are underestimating the curve that comes with a new staff

Who realistically is that much better than us in the SEC other than Alabama?

The last two seasons really isn’t a reflection of the talent on this team.

I agree. It occurred to me a few weeks back that this team has a similar vibe to 2018. Probably better coaching though.

Majority of players will be a new starter at LSU and we have no idea what we are really going to get. I do think this team is going to be really good though. While most unproven at LSU, there is just too much talent on this team for them not to have a decent season.

Some of us aren’t emotional midgets and won’t have “heartache” if the team doesn’t live up to our own personal expectations.

Really all depends on the Oline. New QB, new RB, 40-50 new players and a new system will take a few games to hit a stride or even figure out who’s who so if the Oline isn’t really good we won’t get to 10 wins. And that’s ok, the ship has to be righted before it can gain top speed.

Largely I agree with this and from ‘23 on I think this holds true. Probably some folks around this year who are saying all the right words but aren’t truly part of the tAlignment or won’t be when things get tough.

Josh Pate had a great segment on this phenomenon but also remember the Booty brothers when Saban took over.

If the 2021 season had any semblance of focus and discipline, Coach O's circus could have gone 10-3 or 9-4.

Now, Coach Bk's team is focused and disciplined. Even if the Tigers only go 9-4, this team will be extremely competitive in EVERY game. This team is not a circus. Anyone with half a brain knows this.

The ALIGNMENT is REAL! Everyday!

If this team won 9 regular season games I’d be ecstatic.

How about having reasonable expectations? Mod that are saying this are hiding behind “optimism” only to blame the coaching staff when those unrealistic expectations are not met at the end of a season. This is about a marathon on a 10 year contract and not season 1,2 or 3 for that matter.

This “now” society is already posturing to slam Kelly when he goes 7-5 this season. We see it in other sports like basketball and baseball how clueless our fans are after losses.
But what do you expect from uninformed emotional midgets.

This is not a playoff team and won’t win the SECw, but I just don’t see how we aren’t 2 games better than last year if, for no other reason than competent coaching.

This team isn’t significantly less talented than last year and will be much better coached. And last years team won 6.

I think this team’s floor and ceiling are very close.

Won’t be worse than 8-4 and won’t be better than 9-3

LSU's football history disagrees with you.

When LSU fires a coach who needs to be fired there is generally an immediate jump in the quality of the team's play and the results.

In Bill Arnsparger's first year we went from not winning a single game in the SEC to competing for the conference championship. DiNardo took over for Hallman and we went from four wins to seven, and DiNardo's dumb coaching mistakes cost us at least two other wins. We went from three wins to eight wins in Saban's first year.

Hell, even Orgeron managed to coach LSU up some from what Miles was doing.

Kelly is very much of the Arnsparger/Saban mold, in that he's a recognized expert in the coaching field.

I'm not guaranteeing 10 wins. I am saying we will be significantly, measurably improved from 6-7. And if that results in an 8-4 season it's going to be 8-4 with at least a couple of losses that were built from bad calls, bad breaks, injuries or whatever.
