What sucks to me is how he kept reassuring it wasn’t about money and he was coming. I actually believed him. Never again. I would respect him more had he not said anything or had he kept his word. However, why should he care, he got paid. Good for him. I hope Michigan has more terrible seasons ahead.

His trolling on Instagram will go down in infamy

You wanna decommit? That’s fine. But there’s a way to do it that doesn’t make you look like a total slime ball POS. frick that kid and his family. I hope his ACLs pop out of his legs.

I’m more angry about the fact that he kept other top QBs from even considering LSU because he was so ‘locked in’. frick underwood, frick his family, and frick michigan too

Yea, I’m a little ‘tiffed’ about this situation

That's actually kinda sad.

sounds very Josh Booty-esque, he used us like a rented mule to leverage the Marlins for a big signing bonus

Trust me it hurts most of their Alum that they are having to pay kids, especially one 30 min away, to go to Michigan.

I never thought about it like that. I guess it would kinda feel demoralizing if we had to pay that much money for a kid in Nola or Mandeville to come to LSU.

If I were 17 and that offer was given to me and I could have retired my dad, I would have taken it in a heart beat. It's just the nature of college football right now.

In the same way that you compete on the field, LSU will have to figure out a way to compete for top talent via NIL.

Just remember, LSU fans by and large cheered at the idea of paying players.

All of the advantages LSU once had by being who we were, and earning what we've earned are no longer going to be the determining factor of bringing talent in.

Just to point out how things have changed...

LSU literally had the Heisman winning QB, who developed into a great passer at LSU, had record setting numbers, passed the ball all over the place and is tearing it up in the NFL.

Michigan also had a first round QB, but the offense was very conservative and looked a decade behind the times.

The latter was able to flip a QB who identified all of those things from the former.

It's not what it used to be. And, it's going to get worse.

He better live up to the hype. But time pressure on him to be flawless.

I know very little about his situation, but I have to believe he had family members in his ear about the money. If what was posted about his father not wanting to work anymore is true, its pretty sad.

I take it you either have a shitty relationship with your dad, or you are just a selfish prick.

how old is this kid's dad? what kind of worthless POS whores out his kid so he can retire? is it a 17 year old kid's responsibility to set his late 30s to early 40s year old dad retire?

had the most awesome relationship with my dad, and he wouldn't have wanted to retire for $10-12 mil

If this is really the case, then I cant really blame him.

I think the national media still has it out for BK and the 1.25m/yr report from on3 is bullshite.. Might be part of my cope tho

It has nothing to do with the dad being shitty or not (he probably is, if that was his demand).

That shouldn’t be the kids burden or responsibility. He should be able to go to school where he wants, and create a legacy for himself.

The parents want the money now for themselves. Forget working hard, getting to the league and earning that 1st contract.
As a parent, you are supposed to provide for your kid first, and maybe reap the benefits if they decide to give back. Not whore your kid out for the highest, quickest payday.

You see Sherrone Moore winning a title? 5 minutes ago no one would have given two fricks about him and his 5-5 record.
