I for one am worried about Gary for next years coverage of football.

I say we write CBS and say to please not put this old man's life at risk just for covering football. It's just a game Gary think about your health. Stay home.

everyone here will be crying out loud to have Gary Danielson back when CBS is no longer covering SEC football. They'll be stuck with Greg McElroy or some no namer who sounds like a robot.

I think the bozos who don't either:
(a) think ANYTHING observation about their team that isn't glowingly positive means the broadcaster hates their team or is "biased"; or
(b) Just heard their friends say they hate him, so they do as well even though they can't formulate a justifiable reason for doing so (outside of "a", of course).

I remember Gary calling out a Jacob Hester wheel route and sure enough we ran that exact play. I was sold on Gary's football knowledge after that. But he was pretty pro bama in our game last year, sorry to disappoint Gary.

Seriously, though, Gary was a QB and really likes top flight QBs. So LSU hasn’t had a lot of love from him in the last decade or so.

Holy shite! He was effusively praising LSU the ENTIRE game...as he should considering they were playing really well. The guy must have shouted "Holy Cow!" 5 times in response to great LSU plays. He lavishly praised CEH the entire game. Hell, he, himself, was emotional after the game just watching the emotion pouring out of the LSU coaches and players. But God forbid he recognize that Bama was also a really good team, who made several really good plays, didn't quit after going down by 20.
It really must be exhausting to watch a sporting event on high alert for any comment that can be twisted into some kind of personal slight

Gary likes great QBs and great football. So he did love him so Tebow and Tua and Saban. But he also fawned over Burrow and LSU this year. I guess he just wasn’t impressed with the toss dive.

Gary is becoming pretty much Hawthorne at the end of his run. I've watched the bama game multiple times and he stumbles over names and plays so much. And some of the stuff he said seemed like it was a thought he was trying to work out in his head but actually said it out loud.

He and Vern show an obvious Bama bias, Gary goes on and on when Bama has the ball and Vern with his stupid ala-luh-bama. ive watched the bama game about 6 times now and it becomes more obvious

I'm sure Steve "Emzinger", "Clyde Edwards He-Lair" and Joe "Burrows" Would think differently. How many LSU games has this senile old fart done in the last two years and he still can't get it right even after being corrected!
