The radio broadcasts of the LSU baseball games are very well done.

Also like the rare occasion when you can hear the train passing. "There goes the 7:10, right on time."

I watch it on TV but I listen to the radio broadcast to replace the TV announcers. That is, unless Big Ben is in the booth.

I do miss Hawthorne on the baseball calls when I was younger. Especially when he was announcing while eating a hot dog.

Blair is okay for baseball. Still way better than he is for football. He doesn’t paint the visual picture well at all. My biggest complaint for baseball is he is a little slow on the action and doesn’t reset the situation and score enough. Sometimes I turn it on and it’s 10 or more mins before I know what the score or inning is.

Childhood spring memories throwing the ball in the yard, crawfish boils, fishing, etc in the spring always with the game on the radio

We're at least 5 years since the #metoo movement. You can quit putting a # each time before you say "me too." It was never a witty response to just put a # everytime you say me too anyway. It should at least be used in reference to a raping.
Ex: "I like seeing LSU pound the rest of the SEC."

"#metoo."

This is a thread about listening to baseball on the radio. Nothing to do with rape or activism
Besides women don't matter anymore, trannys are the new thing.

Remember when LSU beat the "greatest college baseball team" in history (AnM) twice? listened to it on an AM radio with my dad, great memory and god it was exciting.

Skip put Ben in the outfield in case he needed to come back in a pitch again.

The best I have found is the discontinued $20 Griffen Radioshark.

It is old hardware, but you can search on how to set it up on Windows10/11. It basically an antenna and software that turns your PC/laptop into a radio recorder and you can sync up the play by play or record whole games. I can't remember the exact steps for setup but it didn't take long and works great for all sports with crappy announcers if you have a local radio station with a broadcast. I posted about it once on the scoreboard but everyone shite all over the idea saying it was too complex and to just listen to the LSUsports app but I much prefer the audio to be synced.

ETA: This is from a review on Amazon and I think this was what I did to make it work..

to use this you have to go to sounds>recording and enable it. Then download the software(radio shark) and run it in compatibility mode(properties>compatibility). Once it is set up it works on Win 10.

I went to college from 1985-1990. Enjoyed listening to LSU football while I was in Houston. Nothing like Hawthorne call the games on 1150 WJBO or 1130 KWKH. It was a occasional treat to have an LSU game on a television network broadcast.

I can’t count the times I was making out with my college honey in her dorm room and having to take a break to get a radio score update on the games.

People want to shite on Blair, but I think he has pretty damn good baseball voice and allows the moments to happen and not over exaggerate like Hawthorne did in final years. Not a fan of Doug though, I may be in the minority but I like Buzzy and bring Hanny Back!

Back in the late ‘90’s, my buddy and I would night fish on the lake where we lived. We would always listen to the tiger baseball games while we fished.

My friend died a few years back, I moved back to South Louisiana and never really have the time to fish anymore, but those are some of the fondest memories of my life, and whenever I listen to tiger baseball on the radio or computer, I usually think back to those times and smile!
