I can't disagree with you more. LSU's traditional whites with gold pants and headgear is the cleanest look in all college, and the purple jersey/ gold pants and headgear combo is spectacular (the colours just pop out at night in Tiger Stadium).
Other purple teams (Washington, TCU, Northwestern, Northwestern St.) seem rather bland and typical alongside the Tigers.

I've heard Clemson has purple jerseys but have yet to see them. When have they worn them? Does anyone have pictures of the Clemson purples?

I want those “purple ice” helmets. Similar to the ones for State this year minus the color changing. The number font ruined that uniform though.
I loved the 09 pro combat with the metallic gold helmets - wouldn’t have minded sticking with that. The whiteout in 11 was cool too.
And I’m one of the few that liked the controversial gold jerseys of 2016.

Lots of colleges and universities have the same(or similar) colors as UW. But I think that (almost)no other university uses our shades of purple and "gold". Therefore our unis are distinctive and immediately recognizable.
