Wade is an excellent recruiter, he pays excellent attention to detail and he is a winner. And he generally prepares his teams well.
He definitely still has a lot of growing to do as an in-game coach in regards to strategy, calling timeouts and subbing guys. But overall, he has done a great job when you consider how fast he improved LSU and the consistency he has had even with the NCAA wiretap BS.

Wade has only coached LSU in the tourney once. One was cut because of COVID and the other due to suspension on his best team that went to the Sweet 16 anyway. And they could make the Sweet 16 and more this year if they go into the tourney healthy and clicking. I mean, LSU didn't even go to a Sweet 16 in over a decade before Wade's team went in his 2nd year.
