maybe a trip to the ncaa tournament, lol He is about to make 4 straight trips with LSU, winning a game in every tournament.

Here’s the facts and it’s not just LSU record here. This is the complete story:

Career Accomplishments:
NCAA National Championships: 0
NCAA Tournament Appearances: 3 (2016, 2017, 2021)
NCAA Tournament Sweet Sixteen: 0
NIT Championships: 0
NIT Appearances: 1 (2018)
CIT Appearances: 1 (2014)
SEC Regular Season Champion: 1 (2019)
Atlantic 10 Regular Season Champion: 1 (2016)
SEC Tournament Champion: 0

So you can go jack it to that record all you want but the facts are what they are. He’s been here for 5 years now, plenty of time to put together several teams that can get us at least a sweet 16 but that has not happened. Not even close.
And a sweet 16 would be awesome! Some want champions! I think that is just a lot to ask right now but it’s not too much to ask for a trip to the sweet 16 in 5 years. Do you think that’s too much to ask?

And honestly, do you believe that will wade is the guy that will make that happen?

His team made the Sweet 16 while Alleva’s candy arse had him suspended. He gets credit for that in my book. LSU was also a tourney team the COVID year so I’m counting that as a tourney appearance. Last year LSU got screwed on seeding and played 1-seed Michigan in round 2. We were not expected to advance and didn’t.

Context matters. Except to those who can’t stand Wade for whatever reason. I’m not saying the man is infallible, but some of you act like he’s a bad coach despite the evidence showing he’s a good to great coach. Including taking a 2-16 SEC team to SEC champions within a few seasons.

The team didn't play well and were out of sorts offensively for the second straight game.

For some reason objective observations like this, though, are often read the same as "CWW sucks".

One is fact. The other is opinion. Fans are going to make reactionary posts that describe how the team is playing. Injuries and refs don't explain 19 turnovers and shooting 40% from the stripe.

Brother I'm simply not going to take you seriously if you aren't counting the sec championship team in the NCAA tournament and the year where the tournament got cancelled

He's had 3 seasons with a chance to make a sweet 16

we missed the tournament
made a sweet 16
then played a tight game against a 1 seed in the second round.

To say not even close to a sweet 16...

I certainly didn’t say he was a bad coach. He’s certainly not great. He is what his record says he is- good.

The theatrics last night were telling to me. He was down against an sec team and he decided to throw a tantrum and he wanted a technical so he could make it look like he’s fighting against a big giant called the refs! It’s schtick. It’s an act. It’s a cornball tactic.

He’s had plenty of time to put together several outstanding teams. He’s had some outstanding talent. I’m not aware of anything that lsu has done to hinder the results. What you see is what you get.

We know now that will wade is a good, not great coach unless and until he proves otherwise.

If you’re happy with that- great. Have fun

Some fans have been complaining about a lack of offense and committing stupid fouls all season. Last night's loss wasn't surprising. This team can beat anyone on a given night but just as well lose to anyone on a given night.

I don't get how some fans get upset when anyone critiques WW coaching or this team in any way. This team is very undisciplined, foul a lot even if we hate to admit it, is horrendous on offense, and doesn't value each possession.

In close games, they shoot much too early in shot clock. They have brain farts like forgetting to box out at the free throw line in a close game, drive into the paint and leave their feet without having anywhere to go with the ball, drive to the rim and throw up a prayer of a shot, etc. etc.

However, most are just high on how well they play defense and overlook all other aspects of the game. Days has the size and athleticism to fill up the stat sheet but oftentimes is content to just stand around waiting to shoot a 3. Eason is the best player on the team and NEVER should've been coming off the bench. Pinson hasn't figured out when he should take over and drive to score. Murray doesn't appear to fully understand his role and where he fits into the team. As a team, there's no dominant scorer so they are still searching on offense and trying to figure out when and how they should be trying to attack the defense.

A lot of that is coaching but our fans get upset and prefer to blame the foul disparity or chalk it up to "their shots just weren't falling". This team is ultra aggressive on defense so yes, they will more likely commit more fouls than their opponents. Outside of Pinson and Eason, they struggle to create their own shot. Toi Murray's credit, some nights he creates his own shot, just depends on the opponent. And this team just isn't very good at shooting the ball.

What did we do after he got the technical?

The fact that you think that this is what happened makes you look like a clown.

If you can’t figure out why he got the tech you have very little knowledge of basketball. And besides it worked, the team responded so you’re just ignorantly taking shots. You’re also claiming that the coach with the highest career win percentage in program history having unprecedented success in his first five years is somehow not meeting our standards when the fact is he’s surpassed any and all expectations despite inheriting the worst conference record in program history. He’s building the program from scratch, this isn’t football or baseball where he inherited a top 3-5 program but you seem to be ignorant about LSU basketball and it’s history.

His offenses have been top 10 nationally in efficiency the last 3 years and top 10 in total scoring the last 2. He’s had the most efficient offense in the SEC since arriving at LSU.

100% correct, I can’t tell you how many posters I’ve seen attacking Wade for not running offenses they ran in high school during the 80s. These people have absolutely no idea what they’re even looking at when they watch college basketball.

This hit the nail on the head but these non-basketball fans that run around calling the man the general just make themselves look silly.

1. There is only one general in college basketball and WW isn’t it.
2. He hasn’t gotten over the hump to prove he is anything more than a good coach.

I like him but at this point expecting anything more than a sweet 16 run is a pipe dream. He can change for example the defense this season is on. He still needs to get better as a coach before we start thinking deep tournament runs.

Lol…okay dude/. Yeah it worked. Look at the score.

The second part of your statement is just ignorant. It literally has no basis in reality. Be more clear and honest- he’s surpassed YOUR expectations.

You’re happy with what you’re seeing. Fine. Be happy with it. Again, if you want winning season and possibly an invite the the tourney and nothing else, he might exceed your expectations.

If you want a perennial winner and sec champ, that’s got a solid chance at sweet 16, you are not impressed.

The key to happiness is to have low expectations. You must be real happy
