I can help you out… LSU went 8-4 last year and BK is a pretty unlikable person.

But he was left with no scholarship players...
So sick of this excuse. Heupel walked into a similar situation after Pruitt and while they shite the bed in the playoffs last year, he at least made the playoffs and kicked BK's arse the only time they played.

He has piled up a ton of wins with no natty. His personality sucks and it seems like he really cant figure out how to be great. The facilties are there and we are pretty good shape with nil money and we have always recruited well. 3 other coaches have won nattys. I do not think Kelly can win one.

Good defense vs bad offense now, year 1 both sides were ok. Year 2 and 3 bad defense vs good offense. Just cant seem to be able to have a team that compliments both sides of ball. He will never win a natty. If u cant win one at notre dame or lsu then you are just mediocre.

Concerning Indiana:
Have you watched them play? Have you watched any cfb outside of the sec?
I follow the entire sport and have watched two full Indiana games and can tell you they are not last year’s Indiana team. Barring injury I think they will make the final four.
They DOMINATED Illinois AND Oregon at Oregon. Oregon had less than 50yds offense in second half. Oregon had a pick 6 and still lost by 10.
OSU, Miami, and Indiana are a cut above. Sadly, Bama is right behind them and they don’t look to be slowing down. A&M will most likely revert to their mean and not get it done, but they may have best defense in SEC.

His first year he did not go to a conference championship game like Brian Kelly.
Are you implying the football talent left by Orgeron was better than reported?
Hmmm? Only year Kelly has taken us to an SEC championship and this is the year he was supposed to win it all.

He's just very arrogant and such an unlikeable guy. Doesn't fit in with the culture. He'll do just enough to keep his job but not much more. Will win the big games at home, but will continue to struggle on the road is my prediction

We hired a dinosaur that is mediocre throughout his tenure of power 5 coaching.

He is unlikable and a lot of people cannot get over their dislike for him to give him a fair shake

Hate may be too strongly worded. Frustrated for sure. Kelly came in with a big contract; so, the expectations are commensurate with our investment in winning.
2022 - 10-4 | 6-2 SEC - Roster rebuild, beat Bama, acceptable
2023 - 10-4 | 6-2 SEC - 45.5 PPG/543.5 YPG - Jayden Daniels Heisman - this should have been a playoff team, but the defense was below par
2024 - 9-4 | 5-3 SEC - New OC & DC but experienced OL - run game was not good and defense got better as the season progressed
2025 - 4-1 | 1-1 SEC - Offensive inconsistency; OL issues
Kelly said we could judge him by year 4. His LSU teams seem to always have a glaring weakness, whether it be offense, defense or special teams. Changes don't seem to happen until the off-season. so, the in-season adjustments are up for debate, plus, he's not very likable.
IMO Kelly's achilles heel @ LSU is his staff hirings. Denbrok and Blake Baker are great hires. But he's made some bad overpays here.
If he won and had us in the playoffs every year (or 2 out of 3 years), he wouldn't have the detractors he has. I think he could have a perennial playoff team if he coached in the ACC or Big12. I'm not convinced he can do that in the SEC. I'm going to continue to root for LSU to win, but it seems obvious why the feelings toward him are what they are.

Don’t understand it either… although somehow my 90:year old mother does not like him either

It's similar to the Les Miles thing. He wins, yes. But no one is saying half way through the season that we are the juggernaut and the team to beat. Yes, Miles had a fantastic year in 2011, but couldn't finish the job. Kelly might and should be able to get us to the big games, but it's just not there. LSU is a championship football team most seasons. So fans expect it year in and year out. We are not a 6-4 team with glimpses of hope here and there, we are consistently raked preseason in the top 10. So the expectation is at least playoffs each year.
So that's the hate.

Well some hate …. I just say I don’t like him and I never have. Remember when he got off the plane in BR … it was so off! All that said by now I should feel better about him but I don’t! ??

This 100%. If we had gone 10-2 last year and made the playoffs almost nobody is complaining about BK right now while we are 5-1 and ranked #10.
I think retaining Sloan and Davis was a big mistake (especially Davis) and we will possibly miss the playoffs yet again because of poor decisions by BK regarding assistant coaches. But I do think he will clean house on the offensive side after the season ends. If we can keep Blake Baker for another year or two (fingers crossed) and if BK makes good hires on offense, then we might have a legit shot at a NC in '26 or '27 but a lot of things have to fall in line for that to happen.

bullshite. If he wins a championship (SEC or Natty) then everyone will get over their dislike for him real quick. He has to earn respect. Once he wins something of substance then nobody will care how unlikable he is. When you are paid $10m a year you don't get to complain about getting a "fair shake"
