Why do our fans feel a need to do this? Mainieri retired, we hired a new great coach. Why do you need to make a thread to shite on Mainieri?

Because so many of you screamed about how Paul was getting as much out of LSU baseball as possible and how there’s too much parity in the sport for LSU to be dominant anymore and Jay has immediately proven all of you wrong. Our baseball program is still a gorilla when we don’t have a coach who likes to recruit an average player size of 5’6” 130 pounds and fill the coaching staff with his ex players

It's ridiculous to act like all Paul recruited were small guys.

Would've been interesting to see how we would've adapted to the NIL era.

These assholes feel compelled to shite on somebody every damn day to make themselves feel better about their own pathetic lives and try to be popular with the other underachievers. Nobody else was playing so they have to reach back. Sad bunch on this board.

What is it about LSU "fans" that makes them feel the need to shite on someone who has done more for LSU than they ever have or will?

Does this somehow make them feel better about themselves?

Does this somehow give them a sense of power that is lacking in their personal lives?

Do they think that tearing down someone better than they are will elevate them?

Just a random thought to the OP, when you leave the scene will ANYONE miss YOU at all?

His rosters were consistently small at positions where guys aren’t traditionally small. Does that work better for you since you can’t think your way through hyperbole on a message board?

He had big pitchers and the occasional Daniel Cabrera or Mike Papierski, but he had way more Cole Freemans, Brandt Broussards, Jordan Twins, and Tyler Hanovers on each team than Jay will have rostered in his entire tenure at LSU. It’s not debatable

Idiot

I guess it would blow your mind to think Maineri was the coach to originally get commitments from Neal Jones and Kling.

Add Jobert Beloso. Oh and Crews. Hes good I guess.

I never drew a check from my job without doing my job.

I never shite on my players in public...never, ever threw them under the bus.

But Paul did both.

Deal with it.

Literally the only thing you do on this board is condescendingly talk shite and babble about nothing while being as much of a dick as possible. It’s obvious that you’re a miserable loser in real life and 90% of the people who you try to talk down to have better lives than you. Give the forced anger a break before you put yourself in a box and float down the river, grandpa

Oh good god, guess Bertman was a shite coach too then if we're factoring in player feelings.

Bertman and Paul don’t belong in the same conversation. Log off if you believe otherwise.

I’m glad they replaced him, but I miss him. He was a class act.

I guess it would blow your mind to realize that not a single one of those players would’ve come within 10 miles of campus if Paul was still coaching here. Please tell me more about how Paul was just reeling in the talent while he was going .500 in the SEC and starting the Jordan twins

I have no idea why Paul had a weirdo cult following on this board but I can go all day if y’all want to debate. There was never a single shred of evidence that he was getting the most out of the program post-2010 and - guess what - go watch the replay of the game tonight and compare it to any game in that era if you want to face the facts. I’m so glad I don’t have to watch you dipshits defend him every weekend anymore

No need to rip on Paul, but I will say that Jay Johnson was the best hire. I would not want anyone else over him.

Mainieri quit a few years before he retired. He quit on the school. He quit on his players. Good riddance.

What the frick are you talking about? If I’m not mistaken his last game as LSU HC was a regional against Tennessee

Keep digging shithead. Kling decommitted when Maineri retired. Jay had to reel him back in.

Facts are hard to mouth breathing retards.

TOP TRACKMAN EXIT SPEEDS FROM TODAY'S GAME:

Dylan Crews 111.6 mph
Jared Jones 110.3 mph
Dylan Crews 109.6 mph
Paxton Kling 107.2 mph
Tommy White 107.2 mph
Jared Jones 106.9 mph
Tre Morgan 104.9 mph
Brady Neal 103.5 mph

All but one of the above were Maineri recruits.
