When you look at the job he’s done, our offense has been pretty good outside of a couple games. Brennan was on pace to have a record year before he got hurt, and has had to scheme for two different freshman QB’s with our best WR’s opting out and a very inconsistent OL.

If this were his first year coaching at LSU I think he wouldn’t get such a bad rap

Did you forget him running 4 plays in a row on the goal line out of shot gun? It cost us the game.

But the important thing is that he fixed that, the next week we ran out of the I and did QB sneaks etc. He’s not perfect and I admit that, but I don’t think he should be canned bc of one drive when we have most of our best players players opting out, playing hurt, etc.

Doesn’t Linehan call 3rd down & red zone?

the fact is he is an OC that has to have another offensive mind call plays in the red zone and third down. Granted linehan is dead weight but Ensminger has no creativity in his game plans. Never any misdirection, counters anything like that. Hes an average OC at best. Lsu can do better. Hes a great tiger and everyone loves him hes just not a very good OC .

E has no creativity...

We do the hurry up on goal line and look horrible...we lost to Missouri at the goal line!

Fair question, but I was simply pointing out that the example used for bad play calling was not E, the guy who posted said it was.

Side note, I loved that 4th down call yesterday that lead to TD.

My concern with E is that he has no creativity. Brady proved to be a massive spark, but E has slowly reverted to bad, boring, and ineffective play calling again.

Let us not forget that in 2018, with Burrow, the offense had become so predictable that even Arkansas had every single play sniffed out before the ball was snapped.

The problem first surfaced against Miss St 1st and goal. It took the disaster of Mizzou to address. That E, and more importantly O didn’t notice against Miss St is an indicator of mediocre level coaching. Neither scenario would’ve occurred with Brady in the booth.

LSU defense has stopped many a first and goal situations against some very good teams. A team did it to LSU. So we need new coaching. Seems legit.

I does a good job organizing the plan and executing it but I feel he needs a creative mind assisting him. Him and Brady were a match made in heaven. He and Linehan, not as much.

To play championship level football you kinda need to be consistent outside a couple games.

Not sure how much say so E has, but our red zone O needs to get a lot better. Going for FG's mostly will cost you. E needs to be able to change that other coach's decision, and if Ed won't give him that power, than that's why the flak. The O goes through E, allegedly.
